Alicia Bell: Exceptionally Talented and Accomplished Kinesiologist,
Strength, Track and Field Coach Reveals her Workout and Diet Secrets
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Share your exercise routine that you do to maintain such a
bikini perfect physique?
Ms. Alicia Bell: Every coach/trainer needs a coach. I recently started training
with Bombshell fitness for my 2015 competition season as a bikini athlete. The
training is intense but I love it. Around this time of year I am doing a tough
cardio session on the treadmill, stepper or arc trainer and one strength session
a day. The cardio involves intervals of running, walking and lunging at
different speeds and inclines. I also love integrating sprints on the track.
Although I am not as fast as I use to be. The strength training involves a lot
of high rep, supersets and covers all areas of the body. This helps give me that
lean bikini physic.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: What is your diet? Do you take a particular fixed regulated
diet comprising of nutrients and vitamins to keep you in perfect health?
Ms. Alicia Bell: My diet involves a lot of organic and local whole foods. I eat
a variety of lean meats like turkey, chicken, and ground beef. I also eat a ton
of green vegetables that include kale, spinach, leafy greens, broccoli etc. I
eat approximately every 2hrs to help keep my metabolism revved up and drink
about 4L of water day. I also make sure to take vitamins on top of my well
rounded meals to make sure that I have all of my micronutrients. This gives me
the energy I need for my workouts and keeps me healthy. I allow
myself one cheat meal a week but I keep it still healthy. Usually a big steak
and a baked potato or whole grain pasta.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: What is your motivation to take a multi-faceted personality
of a Kinesiologist, Strength Coach, Track and Field Coach, Fitness model,
Personal trainer, Media personality and Nutritional expert ?
Ms. Alicia Bell: My motivation is when I take someone from point A and get them
to point B. Their results no matter if its rehabilitation, athletic goals,
health and fitness goals or weight loss goals. I love helping people achieve
what they otherwise thought was impossible. There is no better gift than
changing someones life and sharing my knowledge with them in person, online, or
in a magazine.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some
kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to
your hair to make them look so stunning?
Ms. Alicia Bell: I attribute my healthy skin and hair to eating a very clean
diet and drinking lots of alkaline water. I always make sure to wash my face
after a workout, before bed and when I get up in the morning. I usually use an
organic soap that has no harsh chemicals and moisturize it with a thick lotion.
I usually wash my hair every 2-3 days to keep it from damage and when I do I
always wrap it and put in organic coconut oil over night to keep it healthy,
shiny and soft.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have done bold fitness photo shoots. What advice you wish
to give to the women of today to be body confident in order to do such bold modeling?
Ms. Alicia Bell: Just be yourself in front of the camera. The best shots that
I've ever had were when I was relaxed and just having fun. If you over think it,
your photos will be stiff and you will look unhappy and uncomfortable. And
always remember to SMILE! That's a woman most beautiful accessory!
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Tell us about your expertise in "Kinesiology"?
Ms. Alicia Bell: I would say that my expertise is biomechanics. I love how
certain muscles can be manipulated to get the most out of an exercise. Activity
the right joints or stabilizers can totally change an exercise or movement.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Elaborate on your personalised concept of "Personal Training"
you offer online and offline?
Ms. Alicia Bell: I create a custom program for your goals that is progressive.
This way you will constantly see changes and improvements. I also make videos of
the exercises for you to refer to, give you a written plan to follow and have
weekly check ins to keep you accountable. This will help you stay on track and
for me to work with you on any adjustments that are needed. Accountability is
key.
