Ms. Namita Nayyar:
How does it feel to be the American Record Holder for 3000 Steeplechase?
Ms. Emma Coburn:
Along with immense gratitude, does it also bring upon some added pressure to perform even more better? I am always wanting to improve and find the best in myself. The American Record doesn’t change my motivation, I’m always trying to get better!
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You are a 4x US Steeplechase Champion, 2x NCAA Steeplechase Champion, 2015 USA Outdoor Track and Field Champion and so much more. Tell us about the one most memorable moment that you’ve had across all these Championships?
Ms. Emma Coburn:
Winning bronze in Rio and winning Gold in the World Championships are both sweet memories!
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Share with us your experience of appearing on the ESPN The Magazine’s Body Issue?
Ms. Emma Coburn:
It was snowing when we shot it. Some people think the snow was photoshopped, but no! it was snowing and I was running barefoot and naked through the snow. The snow and being cold was a good distraction, I wasn’t thinking about the fact that I was naked! The crew on set was super professional and the photographer, Marcus Eriksson, made me feel totally comfortable.
