Before kicking off skiing training, what are the key points a beginner needs to keep in mind? 5 key essentials.
Whitney McClintock:
I would recommend finding a great coach who can get you started right. But lots of water skiers get started at the cottage. To get up on two skis for the first time, 1) make sure your arms stay locked straight and 2) you stay tucked up in a ball (like you are doing a cannon ball); when the boat starts to pull you up out of the water, 3) stand up super slowly (still keeping your arms straight) & 4) make sure your posture is tall while 5) keeping your knees bent slightly (and arms still locked straight). *ALSO make sure someone in the boat is taking photos & videos to post on social media (tag me @whitmcclintock on instagram)!!

Three components that are a must in a fitness regime to prevent injury? 5 exercises to build full body strength and can be followed even while travelling?
Whitney McClintock:
The components of a fitness regime that are most important to me are cardio, strength & mobility. My routine is 20-30 minutes of cardio (rowing machine or stationary bike). Then I love doing lightly weighted 1) Jefferson Curls 2) Single Leg Dead Lifts 3) Kettle Bell Swings 4) Hanging Knee Raises 5) Banded Rotator Cuff series (Cross Over Symmetry).
Namita Nayyar:
As a sportswoman, what skincare and hair care routine do you follow to combat the stress of the sport?
Whitney McClintock:
My skin has never been happier since I started using the RenuAdvanced skin care line by ASEA. Its all natural, light & smells great too!
My hair care routine is less than optimal- since I am in the water all the time, my hair is wet most of my life so I don’t like washing it when its almost dry. I recently started using an all natural cleansing conditioner every 3rd day and I use arrowroot powder in between as a dry shampoo if I need it to look fresh.
