Whitney McClintock is a Canadian water skier from Cambridge, Ontario. McClintock is a five time world champion. McClintock has also won thirteen Pan American Games medals (four gold and seven silver).
Women Fitness President catches up with Whitney, water skier about her love for the sport and reason behind her success.
Namita Nayyar:
You are an EIGHT time world champion in water skiing, According to you “From the moment my feet fit into a pair of water skis, I only had one thought: to be a world champion one day.” What attracted you towards skiing as a sport, if you were to sum up in few words?
Whitney McClintock:
Family Legacy. My Uncle Joel was World Champ in ’79; my Aunt Judy was World Champ in ’85 & ’95. My parents, Jeff & Sherron had me on skis before my 2nd birthday & while I don’t remember, apparently I was always smiling.
