Taylor Strecker, the Brilliant & Stunning Radio Host shares her fitness and lifestyle secrets in a candid conversation with Namita Nayyar, President – Women Fitness.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You were discovered in a New York City bar only a few months after graduating from Ithaca College’s Park School of Communications. Since the launch of the groundbreaking “for women by women” radio station in March 2006, you have been the host of Cosmo’s Wake up! With Taylor which has been a huge success. Tell us about this incredible journey and how it all began?
Ms. Taylor Strecker: I believe that one of the keys to being in media is constant evolution. I’m someone who is a bit resistant to change in my personal life, but with media, I’ve found it to be the one constant.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine?
Ms. Taylor Strecker: Work has been taking a front seat for me… So I try to walk as many places as humanly possible. Whether it’s walking home from work or walking to do errands–I also consider bargain shopping working out! Also, rigorously scrubbing the toilet definitely makes me breathless, and I can see my arms getting toned from it.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Ms. Taylor Strecker: Lately I’ve been trying to cut out carbs–I do feel like they are the devil–but I’ve let them back into my life like a bad boyfriend. My new plan of attack to get back on track was buying a pasta spiralizer where I can make zucchini pasta and other healthy alternatives. So far, so good.
