Sierra Blair-Coyle is an exceptionally accomplished and talented Professional Rock Climber. She has stood first at 2012 Knuckle Draggers Ball and won 3rd position at 2014 Dominion Riverrock in Bouldering and Speed Bouldering category. She is in conversation with Namita Nayyar President Women Fitness.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Your love with rock climbing began at a young age of eight years and you started competing professionally at the age of 14. Later your professional career propelled to the height where you have been at the top of the world of professional rock climbing by women. Tell us something about this journey of success?
Ms. Sierra Blair-Coyle:
My journey in rock climbing has been incredible to say the least. From the moment I began rock climbing I always wanted to become professional. I knew it would take hard work, but there was nothing that could stop me from achieving my goals! I never could have imagined how wonderful it would be to finally reach my goal and all of the excitement along the way.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You are US Bouldering Team member (2010-2014) and two-time National Champion as a junior competitor. Tell us how did you feel before and after you became the National Champion?
Ms. Sierra Blair-Coyle:
In every competition, you want to win. Winning nationals for the first time when I was 11 meant the world to me. I had trained hard and it was great to see my hard work pay off. I knew I was capable of accomplishing anything I set my mind too, but winning this competition further motivated me to work harder and dream bigger.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have selected a sport which requires winning over your fear, concentration, to foresee the coming hurdles and possess an exceptionally toned body to finally succeed, how do you achieve that?
Ms. Sierra Blair-Coyle:
I try to be as prepared as possible for every competition. For me, this includes training hard, eating well, and entering the competition with a positive mental attitude.
