Ms. Namita Nayyar:
We’ve seen how strongly you’ve spoken out against skinny shaming. What advice would you give to young girls who often face these issues?
Ms. Sara Sampaio:
My advice to girls that suffer any kind of shaming is to first of all be strong. Everyone is beautiful, and we are all so different and that is what makes us so special.
Also, don’t be afraid to ask for help and to talk to your family and friends. If you are being bullied or attacked and you don’t know how to deal with it ask for advice and ask for help from others. You don’t have to go through this alone. For every person that says something bad about you, trust me, you have 10 people that love you, and you should always focus on the people that love you, because they are who matter.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Any advice or motivational words to the inspiring and budding fashion models, who are all your fans and would like to hear from you as they climb the ladder of success in the field of modelling?
Ms. Sara Samapaio:
Definitely to never give up. I know it sounds cliché, but this industry is about persistence. It’s about the girl that heard “no” hundreds of times, but is still standing up every single time. Talk to your agent, be vocal about what you want and work with them on how you can achieve it. If there’s a problem, then find solutions. If someone said you will never do something, then show them they are wrong and do everything to achieve what you want. It takes hard work, perseverance, sweat, tears, laughs, professionalism and never letting anyone limiting you! If you want something, go and get it – that’s my motto. And that’s not just in modeling, but with everything in life.
