Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You being crowned Miss Universe Australia 2009 on 22 April 2009 propelled your professional career to the height where you have been at the top of the world of glamour. Tell us something about this fairy tale journey?
Ms. Rachael Finch:
I can’t begin to explain how much I love what I do. I get to travel, work with creative and talented people, inject ideas into my work and get the opportunity to make a positive influence. I love fashion, food and all things relating to health and I’m surrounded by these each day. Winning the Miss Universe Australia competition has not only opened doors to being able to work in these areas but given me the opportunity to meet my husband and daughter Violet!
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You are world leading media personality, TV star, glamour model, style icon, spokesperson and a brand ambassador. How you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?
Ms. Rachael Finch:
Staying healthy both mentally and physically is my number one priority. When life gets busy I like being in the best shape I can to work at 100%. I’m a true believer in looking after yourself first and then others. I love the variety in my work – each role has a hand in the other and all challenge me in exciting ways.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you may wish to share?
Ms. Rachael Finch:
I love to change my style of training every day so my body doesn’t get used to one thing. I enjoy power walking, dance, swimming, pilates, yoga and other floor work. Right now I’m actually in training to compete in a professional ballroom dancing competition so I’m in the studio 4-5 days a week for a couple of hours in between work and taking care of Violet. I compete in August and I’m excited for the challenge! Staying active plays a huge part not only on my physical well-being but mental also. Nothing beats outdoor work with fresh air and vitamin D.
