Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hair to make them look so stunning?
Ms. Poppy Jamie: That’s kind of you to say but I have struggled with bad skin for years. Drinking lots of water helps but also a good moisturizer (I use Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream) and my hair is ALL down to my local hair salon Clo&Flo. I have about 3 blow-dries a week because for me, if my hair is ok, it’s one less thing you have to worry about!
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Advice and motivational words for our inspiring and budding women TV journalists and broadcasters who all are your fans, what should they do for their climb to the ladder of success in TV journalism and presenter?
Ms. Poppy Jamie: Work hard, be persistent, be innovative and try and find a specialist area. It’s a saturated market so you have to think, how are you different!
Poppy Jamie on WomenFitness: This website is a great source of information for all health and fitness questions! I love reading the healthy tips of the day! |
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Tell us about your experience of hosting on the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards 2014?
Ms. Poppy Jamie: IT WAS A DREAM!!! SUCH SUCH SUCH FUN. The carpet was huge and I was interviewing for about an hour and a half… which is quite tiring, but the adrenalin keeps you going! Burberry dressed me so I felt like a princess too! Everyone was so friendly and I had a lovely catch up with Ellie Goulding and Rita Ora.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You graduated from the London School of Economics. How this educational background and grooming at the world leading educational institution been a catalyst in your success in your career as a TV presenter and show host?
Ms. Poppy Jamie: I don’t think university is that vital. It’s wonderful if you do go and learn how to study independently as the skills you gain are all transferable later on in life. For me, the LSE was great for giving me an educational on politics and general social issues that are crucial for us all to be aware of. I think this has helped my confidence and definitely helped my writing.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Tell us about your experience of doing the cameo role in ITV2 “Lemon La Vida Loca” ?
Ms. Poppy Jamie: Keith Lemon /Leigh Francis is one of the most supportive and friendly guys I’ve met in the industry. After having this funny interview with him, he private messaged me on Twitter asking if I would consider going on his show (which was obviously a no-brainer!). Then four months later, I was on set and it was utterly hilarious, as you can imagine.
