Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have glowing skin and gorgeous hairs. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hairs to make them look so stunning?
Ms. Mariana Valente:
I use a basic moisturizer and a natural cleanser for my face every night. I don’t like to put too much on my skin so I stick to the basics. I drink a lot of water and eat really well so I think your skin and hair reflects whatever has been put in your body.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You did B.A Honors at York University in French Studies and your College Education in Early Childhood Education. Has this knowledge made a difference in your present life situations?
Mariana Valente on Women Fitness: First of all I have to say what a great tool it is to be able to find good information about health and fitness online. Womenfitness really has all the information one needs in order to lead and healthier lifestyle and get inspired. It’s a one stop shop in the world of fitness!
Ms. Mariana Valente:
Going to University is a useful tool for anything you want to do in life. Even if your career path changes as a student you learn much more than only that subject, much like working out works your muscles going to school works your brain, than its up to you what you want to do with it. For me I loved studying languages because of my struggle with English when I moved to Canada. My initial goal was to be a language teacher. I still feel like I’m a teacher but now I teach adults how to workout properly and eat healthy.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
How did you feel before and after your memorable win of Miss Universe Canada 2009?
Ms. Mariana Valente:
Before winning Miss Universe Canada I was guilty of looking at pageants with the stereotype notion that its all about girls waving and asking for world peace.
After winning I can honestly say that it changed my life and perception. As title holders we are given a voice, then its up to the winner to decided what she wants to use that voice for. For me it was about translating beauty into social awerness as well as showing that peagent girls or models don’t have to starve to look beautiful. Healthy and fit bodies are much more attractive.
The actual night of the pageant is still foggy to me, I was excited, scared, and surprised. It is a night I will never forget.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding fashion model girls who all are your fans and shall like to know from you for their climb to ladder of success in the field of modeling?
Ms. Mariana Valente:
I live by the saying “Everything happens for a reason” Everything that happens in my life has led me to greater things, and no matter how difficult and challenging the bumps are along the way I always try to look at things in a positive way. I always say don’t focus on just climbing the ladder to fame and success, focus on enjoying the journey because whatever the outcome is it will be a great one.
