Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what do you do to your hair to make them look so stunning?
Ms. Lina Hodgkins: Thank you!!!! I don’t really have a beauty regime with loads of products – I keep it simple and I am blessed with good genes. I have pure Argan Oil flown over from Morocco, and use it every night before I go to bed. In the morning I just use Nivea before I apply my make-up which is always MAC with SPF 15. I started Watermans Grow me shampoo and conditioner just under a year ago and my hair has never been in such good condition, it has a lovely healthy shine, much thicker and looks fabulous and healthy.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You recently did a lingerie shoot. What advice do you wish to give to the women of today to be body confident in order to do such confident and bold modelling?
Ms. Lina Hodgkins: It was the most scariest thing I have ever done to take my clothes off and be filmed for national TV, however it was also one of the best things that I have done, I was 54 years old when I did this, and I would recommend every woman to do this just once it their life time. I don’t believe in perfection – what is it?? For me this was all about body confidence and love the skin that you’re in. I believe in todays society there is to much emphasis for girls to be perfect – I believe you’re perfect when you put on a bikini and you are beach ready when you stop worrying what anybody else thinks – confidence makes a strong lady! I know that by doing this at my age inspired a lot of more mature ladies to embrace life. I felt so liberated by it that I started a campaign called Bantsinyourpants, getting people to post pictures of themselves in their undies on the Facebook page and donating to Macmillan. The pictures were brilliant, people of all ages and sizes having fun and celebrating their health and saying ‘this is me, lumps and bumps and all, and I’m proud’. We raised over 16 thousand pounds.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You are an Actress, Reality TV star, a Former Model, a Style Icon and the Marketing Director at the Linekers Group. How do you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?
Ms. Lina Hodgkins: I have always loved fashion, although never been a follower of style trends, I have always had my own style and wear what I like and what suits me, I always receive a lot if compliments on my own style, so I know I am doing something right. Although I appear in reality TV I am not an actress although who knows!! I worked in the Lingerie business for many years and worked with a lot of amazing models over a long period of time, but I never actually took to the catwalk myself. I love doing reality TV and it fits well with my job as marketing director, as I can fit filming around this, working at the Linekers group is as diverse as it can be, I have a staff of over 80 people and most are under 25 – so I have the trial and tribulations that go with that. I am extremely organised as a person which allows me to fit everything in and also having a great team of managers really helps as everything comes down to team work.
