Ms. Namita Nayyar: You earlier lived in Portsmouth, U.K., so how was your life like before moving to Marbella?
Ms. Lina Hodgkins: I lived most of my life in Portsmouth and moved to Marbella 13 years ago, life is very different in some ways and not so much in others- I have always worked hard, so that part of my life has not changed. Portsmouth is a very close knit community, I have my friends there that I have been friends with all of my life which you don’t get in Marbella as it is so transient. But I love living in Marbella one of the obvious reasons is the climate, I have always loved the sun and the heat, I also love the lifestyle it is more laid back than Portsmouth and I now never have to get up in the morning to scrap ice from my car windscreen!!
Ms. Namita Nayyar: What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine which you may wish to share?
Ms. Lina Hodgkins: As you know I am extremely busy and don’t have an awful lot of time for exercise, however I try and walk as much as possible, at least three times a week, I have the added advantage of living at the top of a hill, so I walk to the bottom and back up again, this usually takes about one hour and I can really feel the benefit of this especially in my legs and tummy.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Ms. Lina Hodgkins: I don’t really believe in diets, I try to maintain low carbs through the week and eat plenty of fish and fresh vegetables, but I do enjoy chocolate – what woman doesn’t? So I have five healthy days and on weekends I tend to eat what I want, I am very lucky as I am naturally small, but if I feel I’m gaining weight I cut out the weekend chocolate binge.
