Ms. Namita Nayyar: Introduce us to your schedule. What is a day like in the life of ‘Lauren Luongo’?
Ms. Lauren Luongo: My schedule varies depending on the month/season. However the first thing I do regardless of what might be on my agenda is drink a double shot of espresso, black, along with a clean breakfast. Depending on the day, this could be followed by hair and makeup in order to prepare for a shoot. Other days, I head to the gym to meet with my trainer in order to stay fit. And last but not least I find it very important to carve out time for friends, leisure, and organization.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine?
Ms. Lauren Luongo: My workout plan changes weekly. As I previously stated, I have a personal trainer and he does an excellent job of keeping my workouts fresh and challenging. From Romanian deadlifts, to split squats, to shoulder flys, to bosu ball planks, I can honestly say that I have never left a training session feeling like it was easy. In addition to strength training, I do cardio 3-4 times a week. For cardio I either attend step class, climb the stairmaster, or jog on the treadmill.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Ms. Lauren Luongo: I eat incredibly clean. I follow the Paleo diet, which is no sugar real or artificial, no dairy, no grains, no legumes, no preservatives, no alcohol, and overall no processed foods. I eat protein, vegetables, and sweet potatoes as my choice of approved complex carbohydrates. I personally believe that when one eats clean, their energy levels skyrocket.
