Kira Dikhtyar is a Gymnastics Junior Olympic Gold Medalist, International model and Actress in conversation with Namita Nayyar President Women Fitness.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You came from Russia and was scouted by a top international agent who helped jump-start your modeling career in the the United States, this propelled your o the height where you have been at the top of the world of glamour modelling. Tell us something about this fairy tale?
Ms. Kira Dikhtyar:
My journey has been far from a Fairy Tale… It was full of hard work and obstacles to overcome. I’ve been scouted by the best modeling agent in Russia and sent to Europe to start modeling, but it took me years to actually have a such a success… The first break I achieved was in LA when I shot for Vogue Italia with Ellen Von Unwerth… Then I spent time in Europe working on developing my look book. It’s hard for me to talk about it as a fairy tale because I feel that my journey just began and I am still at the beginning of it.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You moved from Russia to United States. For a model adjusting to new countries with their own cultures it must be difficult and then to adjust with modeling career in the new foreign land, what advice you can give to fellow models in a similar situation?
Ms. Kira Dikhtyar:
Do not get distracted by anything nor anyone – keep your eyes on your career growth And of course learn some English! A language barrier can create problems.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You are world leading media personality, TV star, glamour model and a doting mother. How you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?
Ms. Kira Dikhtyar:
With the help of my family, and my friends who I am proud to call family as well! I can’t imagine what I would do without all of them! They have really been a great support system! Also Discipline, and use of the social media.,. All helps – time and place is very compressed now so anything is possible.
