Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hair to make them look so stunning?
Ms. Julia Faye West:
Glowing skin comes from within. I drink a lot of water throughout the day and use raw coconut oil for cooking and as a butter substitute. Not only do I ingest coconut oil, I use it as a moisturizer. I always make sure my skin is hydrated and moisturized. I make sure to exfoliate at least one a week to keep my skin fresh and to prevent fine wrinkles. I also stay out of the sun, and if I am in the sun I wear plenty of sun block to prevent sun damage. I have naturally dry skin, so I’m always experimenting with new moisturizing products. My skin is sensitive as well, so organic makeup with SPF and natural ingredients work best on my face and decollete.
The best products out there for your hair are Kevin Murphy. I use “young again” shampoo, conditioner, and conditioning mask. I love Kevin Murphy because it is skin care technology, so the molecule is small enough to penetrate into the cuticle of the hair. Most very well known and expensive products out there, only sit on the outside of your hair.
Another myth is that there are products that can fix split ends. The only thing that gets rid of split ends is a hair cut (a trim). I recommend a trim for women every 8 weeks. Every 4 weeks I see my stylist Olivier Santamaria for special treatments. He works at Slash, my favorite Santa Monica salon!
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You are leading media personality, model, producer and film & television actress. How do you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?
Ms. Julia Faye West:
I always have this sense of urgency to accomplish things and to instill positive change. The more I utilize my person skills and talents, the more motivated I am to remain driven and move things forward.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Tell us more about your endeavor working as a lead in an upcoming parody spoof film “A Week in London” where you play the character ‘London.’?
Ms. Julia Faye West:
A week in London, follows a heiress’ quest to show the world she isn’t just another “it” girl and pretentious celebutante. After a rise to worldwide notoriety, London suffers a serious head injury and experiences a reawakening. The following week she allows a BBC documentary crew to follow her to show a more serious side. The irony is that the serious side is hysterical. This is the most exciting film I have worked on to date. I’m honored to play the lead character Ms. London Logo, and share the spotlight with several of my favorite celebrities. This phenomenal film will be released in the Spring of 2016.
