Heide Lindgren: Supermodel and Philanthropist reveals Secrets to Success in Modelling Industry which is a "School of Life"
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You move from United States to Europe and
various other countries for your professional career. For a
model adjusting to new countries with their own cultures it must
be difficult and then to adjust with modeling career in the new
foreign land, what advice you can give to fellow models in a
similar situation?
Ms. Heide Lindgren: Always have at least two credit cards (one
will often get flagged/cancelled because of your travels). Keep
track of every job you do in a spreadsheet and the city in which
you actually shoot it, as this will be endlessly helpful, come
the tax time. Always call your cell phone company before you
travel to make sure your phone will work.
Ask people about the culture of the country you are traveling to
and be sure to respect any restrictions there (i.e. cover
yourself up in the middle east, don't wear any camouflage in
Barbados, etc.) Just be open minded and receptive. Listen always
to what's happening around you. Don't EVER let someone convince
you to do something you are uncomfortable with, no matter how
"important" they are to you or your career.
