Heather Rae Young is an exceptionally talented and accomplished model and actress. She was Playboy’s Playmate of the Month for February 2010. She is in conversation with Namita Nayyar, President Women Fitness.
Ms. Heather Rae Young: I always knew there was more for me in life. I was the girl that looked through Playboy and said I want to be beautiful like those women. After becoming a Playmate my career took off. I traveled the world and United states working and doing appearances. I love meeting new people and I met people that you wouldn’t believe. I still can’t believe the things I have done.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You move from United States to many other countries for your professional career. For a model adjusting to new countries with their own cultures it must be difficult and then to adjust with modelling career in the new foreign land, what advice you can give to fellow models in a similar situation?
Ms. Heather Rae Young: I unfortunately never lived in other countries, but I did travel a lot. I always pack my own food since I am vegan and I always workout no matter what. I am very friendly and extroverted so I don’t have a problem meeting people and fitting in to different cultures.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You are world leading media personality, model, TV host, reality television personality, actress, singer, dancer and a brand ambassador. How you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?
Ms. Heather Rae Young: I wish singing was my specialty…. ha ha but i missed out on that talent.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you may wish to share?
Ms. Heather Rae Young: Fitness makes me so happy. I never look at it like….ugh I have to workout today. I get excited to do it. Right now I do a strength training HIIT class 3-4 times a week. And on the days in between I run 3-4 miles.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Ms. Heather Rae Young: I am vegan. I have been vegan for a few hears now. Usually I try to replace 2 meals with a protein smoothie. Lunch is usually quinoa salad or veggie salad. I snack in between on nuts or a vegan protein bar (which has little ingredients) And I drink tea in between meals. No coffee, I actually have never tried a cup. I do have a sweet tooth though, so I choose to not even have sugar because once I start i can’t stop.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hair to make them look so stunning?
Ms. Heather Rae Young: I take fish oil and vitamins daily. And I use good products and get a facial with ext actions once a month. I am lucky to have such long hair especially being a blonde. I am proud to say I have no extensions!! yay My secret is I get a blowout once a week and usually never wash it more than that. I don’t think I washed my own hair in 6 months or more. LOL.
