Ms. Namita Nayyar: What is your motivation to take a multifaceted personality of an acupuncturist, herbalist, nutritionist, reiki master, motivational speaker, physician, vegan spokesperson and an author?
Ms. Heather Lounsbury: My motivation is to help empower as many people as possible to take charge of their health and heal naturally.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: What advice you can provide about dietary habits for the new mothers wishing to have a fit post pregnancy body?
Ms. Heather Lounsbury: It’s not much different from my regular weight loss advice. Adding get as much rest as you can. Fatigue is unavoidable with a newborn. But do the best you can. Fatigue leads to a release of stress hormones that cause weight gain. Also, keep taking a whole foods, organic prenatal even once you’ve finished breast feeding. You’re likely to skip meals, so make sure your getting all your nutrients.
Veggie soups, juices, and smoothies are quick and filled vitamins and minerals. Make soups that will last the week to cut down on prep time, since you probably don’t have much spare time for cooking. Getting enough calories is also important. If you’re body is starving, your metabolism will slow down and cause more weight gain.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hair to make them look so stunning?
Ms. Heather Lounsbury: Thanks for the compliment! My skin and hair is the direct result of my lifestyle and eating habits. Our skin and hair need certain vitamins and minerals just like the rest of our bodies. My skin care products are mostly from a company called The Vital Image based out of Los Angeles. Their products are organic and 100% natural. Same goes for my hair.
