Women Fitness President Ms. Namita Nayyar catches up with Georgia-Mae Fenton, a British Artistic Gymnast Commonwealth Games Gold medalist; here she talks about her fitness routine, her diet, her beauty secrets and success story.
Namita Nayyar:
You were seven years old when you watched Russian-American gymnast Nastia Liukin sweep the all-around gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, this inspired you to become a gymnast. You took to start your career in gymnastics. This propelled your gymnastics career to the height where you won your first championship in 2013 Espoir English all-around champion. Later you went on to win 2019 British Championships uneven bars and beam championship. Tell us something about this fairy tale journey?
Georgia-Mae Fenton:
Everyone’s journey is different and mine has ups and downs. I have worked really hard and overcome a lot and I’m proud to be where I am today. I’ve had so many amazing experiences and can’t wait to continue making many more.
Namita Nayyar:
You won the Gold on uneven bars at XXI Commonwealth Games, also known as Gold Coast 2018 Queensland, Australia. How these spectacular achievements motivate you to reach greater professional sporting heights?
Georgia-Mae Fenton:
Winning gold at the Commonwealth Games in 2018 was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had, it gave me some insight into what it was like to win a Major medal and it has only motivated me to continue to try and win more major medals and work hard to get even more major competitions.
Namita Nayyar:
You are a world-leading artistic gymnast, model, and brand ambassador. How do you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?
Georgia-Mae Fenton:
I have a lot of support and guidance around me which really helps me, I love all the things that I do which make it a lot easier to manage. I love designing leotards and modeling and I wouldn’t have these opportunities without my gymnastics career in the first place, I’m grateful to be able to have these opportunities from my sport.
