Ms. Namita Nayyar: Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Ms. Gabrielle Epstein: I don’t look at it as a diet- I genuinely enjoy eating “healthy” foods and I notice I always have much more energy, sleep better and function better when my body is fed wholesome, nutritious food.
I drink a lot of water, avoid processed food and alcohol, and stick to lean protein, fresh fruits and vegetables, and raw seeds and nuts. I don’t think there’s any magical secret to feeling and looking good besides from what you put into your body is what you get out.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hair to make them look so stunning?
Ms. Gabrielle Epstein: Thankyou! My mum has actually got me started using a lot of natural remedies for keeping my skin and hair in good condition. I use coconut oil on my hair, skin, cooking…pretty much for everything! It’s amazing for cleansing and moisturising and my nails have never looked better.
I use Apple Cider Vinegar as a skin toner also use raw, unfiltered, organic honey as a mask for my face – raw honey has antiseptic qualities and it’s great for treating any breakouts or rashes. It’s full of nutrients, enzymes, vitamins and skin-boosting acids.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: We’ve learnt that you were a swimmer who competed at the state and national level before a shoulder injury forced you to stop. How was your experience like as a swimmer?
Ms. Gabrielle Epstein: Swimming is like no other sport- it’s a very solidarity and individual sport and requires so hundreds of hours of training to improve your time by hundredths of a second. Although I wouldn’t change anything now about ending my career, I’m very grateful that my parents led me into a sport that taught me discipline, dedication and hard work from a young age.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You are the co-owner of gabriellegrace.com. Tell us more about this popular venture of yours? Also, what are your Top 3 favorite pieces from the shop?
Ms. Gabrielle Epstein: This venture started only about 6 months ago. Since I pretty much live in bikinis I wasn’t surprised that I would receive so many comments and emails from young girls asking me where I bought my swimwear, what was my favourite type of bikinis, and what type of suit should they were for their body type. I noticed there was a huge gap in the market for high quality, afforadable bikinis for young girls.
Gabrielle Grace swimwear isn’t about being bombshell sexy, it’s swimwear inspired by my travels and designed for the girls with a free spirit and wild heart. I want to make young girls feel like the best possible version of themselves when they put on my suit, and be proud and happy with their bikini body- without costing them 2 weeks wage.
I’m obsessed with crochet bikinis at the moment and my favourite suit is the MADI bikini bottoms and CANDICE top- I feel like I’m on a beach in Greece whenever I put it on!
