Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You were ignited and made competitive BMX cycle racing as your career and reached the pinnacle of success by winning 14-time World Championship and Jr. Women World Championship.Tell us about your journey that took you to where you are now in the world of competitive BMX cycle racing and what factors you consider were responsible that made you achieve that?
Ms. Felicia Stancil:
World Championship were always during the summer. I’ve always enjoyed school growing up, so during the summers I would get really bored. I always love to be productive, so during the summers I put all my energy into racing my bike. A lot of summers went by and it’s crazy, but it eventually added up to 14.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
How could you overcome the element of fear in BMX cycle racing as a sport?
Ms. Felicia Stancil:
From racing BMX for so many years, it somewhat is natural. I would be terrified to some other sports, but I feel challenged in a comfortable way with BMX.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you shall like to share?
Ms. Felicia Stancil:
BMX racing is a sprinting sport, so I do go to the gym. I also do flat sprints on a road and spend a lot of hours on the BMX track practicing.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Ms. Felicia Stancil:
I try to eat as healthy as I can, but I will always enjoy desert. Nothing super strict. Main goal is to get the days worth of nutrients without under-eating or over-eating.
