Federica Gianni: An Exceptionally Talented Personal Trainer, Fitness Competitor and Fitness Model Shares her Success Story
Federica Gianni is a fitness model and fitness
competitor, born in Italy where she followed her passion
of becoming a dancer and one of Italy's sought after
dance teachers making young kids dreams come true by
teaching them rhythm, the sound of music and how to
express it through their bodies.
In Italy, Gianni's work ethic became apparent through
her body and she moved to London to explore the fitness
and health industry. Gianni went on to become an
International PT travelling between London and the
Middle East to help others achieve their dream body.
In 2014 Gianni was ready to take the world stage for the
2nd as she competed in one of the Worlds Biggest Fitness
competitions WBFF at the London o2 where she placed 6th
and was spotted by International brand Multi Power which
she is now a leading ambassador for. During her prep for
the final, Gianni trained with one of the worlds known
fitness athletes Roger Snipes.
To date Gianni now has 14 years management experience in
health & fitness and currently manages one of the
largest Personal Training team in UK at Fitness first
platinum clubs.
Federica Gianni is an exceptionally talented Personal
Trainer, Fitness Competitor and Fitness Model. She is in
conversation with Namita Nayyar President Women Fitness.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You were born in Italy and later
moved to UK. You were interested in dancing and taught
children to dance. Later you were encouraged & motivated
to compete in fitness competitions and also did fitness
modelling. In 2014 you competed in one of the world's
biggest fitness competitions WBFF at London and was
placed 6th. You reached the pinnacle of success as you
now manage one of the largest Personal Training team in
UK at Fitness First. Tell us about your journey that
took you to the the world of fitness and where you are
now?
Ms. Federica Gianni: As you mentioned my background is
in dance, I started Ballet when I was 5 years old, I am
also a Karate black belt since I was 16 years old. I
have been managing Health & Fitness Clubs for over 13
years so the gym has been my second home for most part
of my adult life. During this time I have been very
lucky to have had the opportunity to learn from some of
the best in the industry and gained a wide range of
skills, from management to marketing to training
techniques and most importantly I have learned how to
best support people in their fitness journey while
working on my own. My interest in fitness modelling
competitions started about 3 years ago when I met Ulisses and Roger Snipes (two big names on the
professional fitness/body building scene), whilst
working at Reebok Sports Club in Canary Wharf, Roger
became my coach and my training as well as my life
reached a whole new level.
Competing takes a lot of dedication and can take over
your life so I have now decided to take a break from it
as I am working on launching my lifestyle brand and
clinic, whilst managing a large team in a busy gym with
very high profile clients. I am still taking my training
very seriously ofcourse, and I am on an ongoing plan
under Ulisses' guidance to work on my aesthetic
proportions and my strength.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: What is your motivation to take a
multi-faceted personality of a fitness model,
professional figure competitor, personal trainer, brand
ambassador and a nutritional expert?
Ms. Federica Gianni: I believe in living in Dharma, with
purpose, and I believe my purpose in life is to inspire,
motivate, help and support people. Without sounding too
cheesy, I am motivated by love.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Share your exercise routine that you
do to maintain such a bikini perfect physique?
Ms. Federica Gianni: I train 6 days a week for 1 hour,
often I train twice a day. I split muscle groups and my
workouts always start with abs then main workout then
cardio (HIIT). I also do Yoga ( Mainly Hot Yoga ),
Boxing and I have recently gone back to ballet.
I mix heavy lifting with functional and bodyweight
training. I like to be strong but flexible and agile at
the same time.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Tell us about your diet, do you take
a particular fixed regulated diet comprising of
nutrients and vitamins to keep you in perfect health?
Ms. Federica Gianni: Right now I am following a set diet
plan, 6 meals per day, all macro counted, with lots of carbs! However my approach to dieting is generally quite
flexible, I love good food and I always make sure I have
enough fuel to sustain my lifestyle. My motto is " Never
go hungry, Never go thirsty ". I also take a number of
supplements like BCAA, L'Carnitine, Zinc, Magnesium,
Vitamin C , B Complex, D3 and Spirulina.
