Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You are the third black woman to grace the cover of the annual publication of Sports Illustrated. How do you feel about carving out a new history for yourself and to be able to inspire so many like you?
Ms. Danielle Herrington:
I never sought out to be a role model, I just wanted to be my best self. However, if I am able to use this opportunity and this specific platform to influence people in a positive way I am going to do my best to be a great role model. I want not only for others to look back at this moment and speak of it in a positive way but I would also like to look back myself and have the same appreciation for it. It’s very humbling to say the least!
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have been modeling for the past 11 years and this year it’s your second appearance in Sports Illustrated, earlier you were featured in the 2017 swimsuit edition’s Rookie Class. How did modeling happen to you, also, how did you overcome being camera shy?
Ms. Danielle Herrington:
I don’t think modeling really happened to me. I made it happen for myself with the help of my agents. I left LA and moved to NY by myself to follow my dreams. I over came being camera shy by being in front of the camera more. The more experience you have in front o the camera the more comfortable you’ll be.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
For a model, to maintain a fit and healthy body, working out is of prime importance. Unfold the exercises that comprise your fitness regime on a daily basis?
Ms. Danielle Herrington:
I don’t think it’s one specific exercise I do that helps me maintain a fit and healthy body but instead changing it up daily. Cardio obviously is important for every workout!
