Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hair to make them look so stunning?
Ms. Dani Stevens: JUICE, juice and more juice! I juice everything and kick off each day with a boost of a nutrient-rich drink that tastes great and sets me up for the day. The kids love it too. I am a big fan of fresh air and nature – I’m not about getting stuck in the gym. So, I walk on the beach, play in the park with the kids, minimise alcohol-intake and stay away from too much coffee and just enjoy whole, healthy, fresh foods that do all the hard work for me – simply by enjoying yummy food that’s good for me.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: As a mother of four children, taking a career in modelling and as a glamorous fitness personality can be quite challenging. Kindly tell us how you handled such a challenging situation in your life?
Ms. Dani Stevens: Life is BUSY. Any parent will understand. I love the fact that people are interesting in seeing what a ‘real’ person looks like. I am definitely real. I’m not a professional model. Just an Australian mum who believes in healthy lifestyle – and it shows on my body and my skin. It’s about being active and happy.
I love what I do and it shows. Running a business as a mum is a juggle but it’s possible. It’s all possible. That’s the biggest lesson I want to share with people. If you really want to do something, you can always find the time to make it happen. It’s about prioritising. Get off Facebook for a few minutes a day, keep a journal of your ambitions. Find out what you need to do to help them come true and just take the first step. It all starts with a small step…
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You had the opportunity to interview some of the influential leaders. Tell us one of your such memorable experience you wish to share?
Ms. Dani Stevens: It’s such a privilege to get to talk to people whose careers I have admired. I have to stop myself sometimes from sounding too much like a ‘fan’. My favorite memory? Too many to share here but two come to mind. The first is Richard Branson, who shared his support as I rode over 800 kms across Australia for The Ride To Conquer Cancer movement and another was when I met and interviewed Jamie Oliver. He has always been a big part of my cooking and healthy lifestyle so it was a thrill to finally meet face-to-face.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Elaborate on your endeavor of successfully running the website http://danistevens.com/ and what all does it offer to it’s viewers?
Ms. Dani Stevens: Our online community is growing every day. I wanted to create a home where people could come to find practical, genuinely helpful tips they could apply to their real lives. So, there is me talking about my life with my family, plus I share stories from people who have transformed their own bodies on incredible fitness journeys that are positively inspirational. I’m a practical person and I know time is precious.
I want people to be able to visit DaniStevens.com – even if it’s only for a few minutes a day – and come away with a brilliant recipe they can feed their family that night, or a simple exercise they can squeeze into their schedule after dropping the kids at school, or information about cool products and innovations that might help them live a better, healthier life. I want it to be a happy place. There’s no one to judge you at DaniStevens.com It’s about being yourself and finding the tools you can fit into your own life and help your body become fitter, stronger and healthier.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding fitness conscious girls, who all are your fans and shall like to know from you for their climb to the ladder of success in achieving the perfectly sculpted physique?
Ms. Dani Stevens:Never EVER give up. Believe in yourself. YOU can make it happen. Find a ‘why’ that makes you jump outta bed every morning – and then get motivated by that to succeed. I mean…for me, it’s my family and online community. Imagine if I wasn’t fit and happy and I was parenting them from a place of unhappiness and poor health. They are my ‘why’.
I want to be a great Mum and help them live lives they can be proud of – lives that they love. Be realistic. Don’t set a time limit to lose some ridiculous amount of weight and then beat yourself up because you didn’t do it. Just be consistent. Small steps, remember. If you are putting healthy food in your body every day and you are taking even a few minutes to get moving, with purpose, you’re off to a great start.
