You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Share with us your hair care and skincare routine.
Daisy Close:
Thank you so much! I have an extensive hair care and skin care routine, but I’ll start by saying my hair wouldn’t look anywhere close to as gorgeous as it looks if it weren’t for the help of my talented hair stylist, Maya Guzman. As for my skin care, I believe my skin is glowing mainly because I prioritize my daily water consumption levels, maintain a healthy and clean diet, and aim for at least eight hours of sleep each night. Other than that, I make sure to exfoliate and moisturize my skin every morning and every night, and I use a couple of products weekly that target areas of my skin I wish to improve if necessary.

Social media is saturated right now, how do you feel about it? Tips on budding influencers who wish to make their move?
Daisy Close:
I believe social media definitely is saturated right now, and it has its pros and cons. Being an influencer myself and consistently active on social media, I have seen the pros and cons come to fruition when it comes to pursuing a career as a model and breaking in as a performing artist in the entertainment industry. I think the most challenging part of social media for me as an influencer constantly and consistently has to create and post new content in order to keep your followers engaged and active as well as growing as a creator on your social platform. I find collaborating with other creators, photographers, singers, and actors to be the most beneficial when creating new content as you are both able to help each other succeed in different ways from the content produced.
The con about social media would have to be that what you see or perceive is a lot different from real life. As an influencer myself, I would advise others against believing or comparing everything you see from the influencers you admire, as social media is often used as a highlight reel, and what you see is only a tenth or less of what goes on in that person’s life. I myself deal with the external and unnecessary pressure social media makes us all feel at one point or another in our lives. There’s often pressure that we aren’t good enough or worthy in comparison to these people we put on a pedestal when in reality we’re all human and we all have our own flaws, but that’s what makes us different from one another, and being different is such a beautiful thing.
When you come to the realization that being different is beautiful, your perspective will change, and you will become grateful that you have everything you need because you’re perfect just the way you are. You’ll notice that real beauty comes from within, and there’s nothing you need to change for anyone to accept you or appreciate your value. Tips I advise to budding influencers is to stay true to who you are regardless of the ups and downs you are bound to face when trying to make your move in the social media scene and to never let anyone dull your sparkle.

Five athletic leisure brands you love to wear.
Daisy Close:
Five athletic leisure brands I love to wear include Nike, Adidas, Converse, Lululemon, and Alo. Nike would have to be my go-to all-time favorite athletic leisure brand. I love all of their merchandise, but especially their shoes.

Five travel destinations on your wish list.
Daisy Close:
I love to travel. I want to see the world! Traveling is probably one of my all-time favorite activities to do. Five travel destinations on my wish list include going back to Hawaii and Peru, of course, but I would also love to visit Paris, London, and Rome.
Namita Nayyar:
You have done bold photo shoots for a number of fashion brands and on your Instagram handle @daisy.close. How are you so confident and giving advice to your compatriots?
Daisy Close:
Thank you so much for the kind words. I believe confidence comes from within. Nobody feels confident all the time; sometimes it just comes down to accepting yourself for who you are, flaws and all, and being able to find the beauty in being imperfectly perfect. We all have our own insecurities, but at the end of the day, I choose to focus on the parts of me that I find the most beautiful, and that’s what makes me feel the most confident. I feel confident when I bring my bright smile and enthusiasm to the set, often paired with an optimistic and positive attitude. Being confident is a choice we must choose to make every day.
Reassuring ourselves that we are beautiful both inside and out regardless of how we might feel or think in that moment gives us the gratification we need to be confident in what we bring to the table, knowing that it is unique in a way that is true to who we are and what we are proud to be known for as an individual.
Confidence is a virtue that can only be revealed through our own sight and can never be taken away from us. My advice for my compatriots would be to lead with confidence. Just a little confidence will open doors and create countless opportunities for you like you’ve never imagined before.
