Women Fitness President Ms. Namita Nayyar catches up with Daisy Close an exceptionally talented actress, singer, songwriter, dancer, and model; here she talks about her fitness routine, her diet, and her success story.
Namita Nayyar:
Where were you born and had your early education? Later you decided to pursue acting, singing, modeling and being an Instagram Influencer. This later propelled your career to the height where you are a leading social media influencer. Tell us more about your professional journey of exceptional hard work, tenacity, and endurance.
Daisy Close:
Firstly, thank you so much for having me, Women’s Fitness! It’s a pleasure to share my story with your readers. I was born in a small town of Lavon, Texas, and attended school in Plano, Texas, a larger city not too far away, also located in the Dallas metroplex. Ever since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to pursue the performing arts. I was always into singing, songwriting, acting, and modeling. I’ve had a special love and connection to the performing arts ever since I can remember. I would put on my own concerts for my mom at home and was involved in every single singing, acting, and dance class you could find near me.
As I grew older, my passion and love for the performing arts also grew stronger and inspired me to professionally pursue a career as a performing artist in the entertainment industry. It wasn’t until then that I realized how difficult of a career it was to break into and how it was going to be anything but easy. I saw how competitive the industry was and discovered that the only way I was going to break in and make it to the top was by combining my talent with a determination and work ethic like no other. It was hard at first to be authentic to my dreams around others, especially growing up in a small town where dreams like mine seemed like one in a million, but the criticism gave me an exceptional and tenacious drive to work harder.
The many rejections I’ve faced throughout my journey pursuing a career in the entertainment industry gave me an unbreakable endurance, which empowers me to never give up knowing that this is what I was destined to do, and with that knowledge, I know I already have everything I need to make it one day.
Namita Nayyar:
You sang a viral duet with Kelly Clarkson (1.5M) featured on The Kelly Clarkson Show (NBC 2022). Tell us more about this spectacular event in your singing career?
Daisy Close:
Absolutely! That was such a spectacular event in my singing career that it never fails to fascinate everyone when told as a story. Long story short, Kelly Clarkson was searching for the best singers in several states to feature on her show, and one of the states she stopped at along the way was Texas! So, of course, I showed up to take my shot at the chance of a lifetime to sing on The Kelly Clarkson Show. I did my best, as I do for every audition, not expecting Kelly Clarkson to actually be present. Everyone was so surprised when she showed up! Once she arrived, I just knew I had to manifest my way towards meeting her and singing with her. I pushed my way through the crowd, and after several attempts, I was finally able to break through and was granted the opportunity to sing with her.
The momentous moment was recorded on my phone and went viral on social media after I posted it on TikTok, accumulating more than 1.5 million views. Aside from our duet going viral on social media and opening many doors for me as a vocalist, that day was so special to me because I received the opportunity to sing with someone I have idolized for so long as a young aspiring artist. I definitely don’t take opportunities like that for granted, as I know how rare they are, especially within the entertainment industry. Some people wait a lifetime for a moment like this.
Namita Nayyar:
You are the leading social media personality, model, actress, singer, songwriter, and dancer. How do you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?
Daisy Close:
Thank you so much for bringing this topic up; it’s quite honestly the biggest blessing but also the biggest challenge I always have to juggle. Some days I shock myself with how much I put on my plate and somehow manage to accomplish it all, but I think at the end of the day, the only way I am able to accomplish it all is because I truly love what I do. When you love what you do, no matter how time-consuming or difficult it might be to pursue it; it always feels worth it in the end because ultimately you know that nothing else can bring you happiness like it can.
I thrive in areas where I am constantly challenged. It keeps me striving for success and motivates me to become better at everything that I do. I would say the hardest and most common obstacles would have to be the inevitable schedule conflicts between everything I do and establishing a balance between my professional and personal life, but throughout the years I’ve acquired a strong skill for time management and learned how to manage my schedule to the best of my ability to balance out my time for everything to fit into my extremely busy and multidimensional lifestyle.
