Ms. Namita Nayyar: Advice and motivational words for our inspiring and budding women television hosts and fashion correspondents who all are your fans, what should they do for their climb to the ladder of success in television and fashion industry?
Ms. Clare Galterio: Never give up. It’s very important to keep doing and practicing. I know that in my first question it seemed like an easy and seamless transition from show to show but I had been audition for years before I ever got my first hosting job. You just have to keep working at it! Also surround yourself with people that are supportive. There were times when I didn’t think I would ever get a TV show but my loved ones kept my head on straight.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hair to make it look so stunning?
Ms. Clare Galterio: I make sure I wash my face every morning and night. On my show I wear a lot of makeup because you have to when under such strong lights. I make sure I start and end my day with a clean face. Also, I try to drink as much water as I can. That always helps my skin.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have fought the gluten intolerance and have now been spreading the knowledge about the best places to get gluten free food. Tell us more about this endeavor of yours?
Ms. Clare Galterio: The Gluten Free Chick Web series is something I am really excited and proud of. It’s something I started because I wanted to bring awareness to Gluten Free restaurants, bakeries and places you would otherwise never really know about. I want to make eating fun again for people with Gluten issues. Because let me tell you, it’s not at all fun when you find out you can’t eat like everyone else.
My sister and mom were diagnosed with Celiac Disease two years ago so my whole family became very educated. When we were searching for things and places to go, we discovered thousands and thousands of blogs or videos of people talking about certain GF products. But I couldn’t find any videos that actually showed the people, the owners, the chefs, and that actually shared the stories behind the restaurants. Anyone that has a GF facility or a place that has many GF options has a story. And that’s why I wanted to film these places and bring that to life.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You played the role of an ‘announcer’ in the film ‘Girl Most Likely’ directed by Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini. Tell us about this acting experience of yours?
Ms. Clare Galterio: Oh gosh. That was so nerve-wracking. I had three lines and you would have thought I had pages and pages to memorize. I am totally fine being in front of the camera and being myself but when I had to act I was a total fish out of water. Shari and Robert were so kind. I got to work with Kristin Wiig. She is such an awesome person. One of the friendliest people I have ever met and worked with.
