Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have gone through a hard earned professional journey in CrossFit Games. Tell us about your journey of tenacity, discipline and hard work that makes you a phenomena in Crossfit Games?
Ms. Christmas Abbott: I had already completely consumed myself into a fitness lifestyle over the course of a few years, making it my profession through teaching bootcamps, opening my gym, then finally the CF Games. I knew what I wanted and I understood initially what sacrifices it would take to obtain that goal. Once I have my mind set on something, truly set, it’s only a matter of time. I was fortunate enough to have experienced huge sacrifices for a goal through working in Iraq, so I was able to transfer that laser focus to my training.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You are leading media personality, model, business owner, CrossFit competitor, Olympic Lifter, Head Trainer and a NASCAR pit crew front tire changer. How do you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?
Ms. Christmas Abbott: Ha! Well for one I don’t do ALL of those things at once. I always want to push myself outside of my comfort zone and that has lead to an extraordinary life so far. I love a challenge and want to continue to push my perceived limits past what other people believe isn’t possible. I absolutely love accomplishing the unexpected.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you shall like to share?
Ms. Christmas Abbott: I get back to basics a lot which are always are composed of a variation of squatting (with and without weights), deadlifting, pressing, and agility work.
I also like to mix up my week with other fitness outlets like yoga, running, and other recreational sports. I think these two things are important to staying well rounded and healthy and to play!
