Charlotte Di Calypso is an exceptionally talented and world leading french supermodel. She is in conversation with Namita Nayyar President Women Fitness.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You at the age of 15 years started your career in modelling. In 2005 you entered the French Elite Model Look and won an international final in Shanghai, with that you earned a contract with the prestigious Elite Model Management in Paris. Later you propelled your modelling career to the height where you have been at the top of the world of fashion and glamour modeling. Tell us something about this fairy tale journey?
Ms. Charlotte Di Calypso:
I knew the day I won the Elite model Look contest, my life would change forever and never be the same. I was right. Everything went so fast. I walked my first show for Prada 1 month after, I signed a contract as the new face of Chanel Chance fragrance. I finished school 2 years after and I moved to NYC when I was 18.
Since then I have been to more than 30 different destinations, met hundreds of very talented people, I bought a place in Paris and the list goes on…I want to thank you Elite and all the people who trusted in me since Day 1, I am so grateful to them.

Tell us about your experience on winning the Elite Model Look in 2005 France Final and International Elite Model Look final in Shanghai amongst about sixty candidates from all over the world?
Ms. Charlotte Di Calypso:
About the EML contest, I couldn’t believe the winner was me. I was so happy, so proud to be the First French girl to win this contest. My Mom was there in Shanghai with me, and we celebrated all night !!!! It was in 2005, but trust me I remember it as if it was yesterday !

You recently did photo shoot for French Revue de Modes Spring/ Summer 2015 Covers.Tell us your experience of working on this endeavour?
Ms. Charlotte Di Calypso:
It was a great pleasure to be on the cover of the last issue of French Revue de Mode. It is a specific magazine, respected in the fashion world. Also I had amazing make-up, as it was a ” special Saint Laurent Beauty” story, plus a wig, and I love to act or to be someone else for one day ! It is of course a challenge but I just Love it!!!!
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
In June 2008, you passed your Baccalaureat and devoted entirely to your modeling career. Since then, you have walked for the most prestigious Haute-Couture houses in Paris, London, Milan and New York. You are currently one of the faces of the Chanel Chance perfume campaign. How has your education helped you in shaping your career to such exceptional heights?
Ms. Charlotte Di Calypso:
I have the good fortune of having a family who always believed in me, was very supportive, but also very strict. I remember my parents telling me “You Won the Elite contest, that is great, you are the new Chanel Chance face that is even better, but you are not going to do this job until you finished school. No degree, No modeling” Of course today I’m more than Thankful !!!
But I am also very thankful to my friends. It is not easy to leave your hometown at 18 years old to go to NYC. They always encouraged me and supported me. No matter what. This is how I became who I am and how I built the career I have today. Being surrounded by amazing people,
