Carly Booth is youngest ladies golf club champion in Britain at the age of 11. She is winner of Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open Golf Championship and Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open Golf Championship. She is in conversation with Namita Nayyar President Women Fitness.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You started playing golf at a very young age and reached the pinnacle of success by winning and becoming the youngest ladies’ club champion in Britain at the age of 11 at Dunblane New. What factors you consider were responsible that made you achieve that?
Ms. Carly Booth:
My dad started building a golf course in my garden for my older brother Wallace when I was about 5 years old. So it was easy access for me from a young age. Also having my older brother really into his golf helped me pick it up and he was there to guide me.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
In 2007 you were rated the No. 1 junior in Europe after winning the European Junior Masters, the same year you lifted the Scottish Under-18 and Under-21 titles. Tell us about these memorable wins in your career?
Ms. Carly Booth:
The year 2007 was a great year for me. I was playing very well and found myself gaining so many opportunities. I also already spent a year at school in Bradenton, Florida at the IMG academies. It caught me how to become more independent and really improved my short game especially my putting that year.
Carly Booth on Women Fitness: I think fitness is a great thing, it keeps you young and feeling good. There is not a better feeling. Your body is your temple, look after it!
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you shall like to share?
Ms. Carly Booth:
I like to do circuit training. Also running and lots of core and stretching. I like to mix it up a little and always keep it interesting.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Ms. Carly Booth:
No I don’t follow any diet but I like to eat healthy. 6 meals a day that include a lot of fruit and veg and protein. I do have a sweet tooth so I do indulge every now and again which is fine to do.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have glowing skin and gorgeous hairs. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hairs to make them look so stunning?
Ms. Carly Booth:
No not at all lol I stopped dying my hair bleach blonde because it was damaging my hair and I don’t use my straightens often at all anymore so it doesn’t dry my hair out. And face I wear night cream and that’s about it.
