Camille Leblanc-t is “Fittest Woman on Earth” and winner of CrossFit Games 2014, is an exceptionally talented and accomplished athlete. She is in conversation with Namita Nayyar President Women Fitness.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You started doing gymnastics at the age of 2 years and was a high-level gymnast for next 14 years. You have a competitive athletic background as you played soccer, volleyball, ran half-marathons, did skiing and also played rugby. And then you were introduced to CrossFit training. You reached the pinnacle of success in CrossFit Games when you won the 2014 Reebok CrossFit Games and earned the title of “Fittest Woman on Earth”. What factors you consider were responsible that made you achieve that?
Ms. Camille Leblanc-Bazinet:
I think that the way my parents raise me is definitely the biggest factor… My dad use to have a day and a night job to be able to pay for our sports and he would run marathon and participate in triathlon. While my mom had a full time job and was driving us around to make sure we could do our sports… I saw them do sacrifice for us all their life, never wine and enjoy life… I’ve always been super driven… for an example at 12 after a gymnastic competition I decide I didn’t have enough cardio so I start running… should a told my mom because she almost call the cop when I disappeared 🙂
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You had a hard earned performance in CrossFit Games. You have finished in the top 10 at the Reebok CrossFit Games for the past four years and then went to win 2014 Reebok CrossFit Games.Tell us about your journey of tenacity, discipline and hard work that made you a phenomena in Crossfit Games?
Ms. Camille Leblanc-Bazinet:
I think I always knew deep down I could do it… but I also knew that I needed to get better at some things… I’ve been working as hard every year filling the whole in my fitness and this year I was good enough to win… I love working on my weakness and getting better at those… it make me proud.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you shall like to share?
Ms. Camille Leblanc-Bazinet:
I don’t understand this question lol I think that everyone should squat and squat a lot lol.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Ms. Camille Leblanc-Bazinet:
