Ms. Namita Nayyar: Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Ms. Anicia Bragg: Yes, you are what you eat and for me diet and clean eating is a way of life. I pride myself on having a bikini ready body anytime, all year long. I haven’t had soda (not even diet since I was a child). Water, ice tea and coffee (black) are my drinks of choice and I don’t eat anything white (bread, pasta, rice) and no cheese or dairy. I also practice portion control by only eating 3-4 ounces of meat or chicken with veggies or salad at each meal. My typical breakfast would consist of 4 egg whites with veggies and if I am in a hurry, I do a quick protein shake with almond milk or eat a protein bar, which is one of my favorite snacks.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly, what do you do to keep your hair so shiny and stunning?
Ms. Anicia Bragg: Thank you for that compliment. There is one person that I must thank for my skin, her name is Deborah DePiano, the owner of DePiano Skin, here in West Hollywood. Debbie is amazing and the go-to skin care expert for myself and a who’s who list of celebrities. She has been taking care of me for over 15 years. I visit DePiano skin every two weeks and get an array of treatments, which Debbie recommends and is constantly mixing it up. I am obsessive and diligent about my at-home skin care regime.
My hair requires attention and I have a girlfriend that models, (Kourtney Reppert) and is Jessica Simpson look alike and stand in that hooked me up with her stylist, (Luna Arussi at Jadore Salon in Beverly Hills). Luna is a blonde hair care expert that has being doing my hair for the past 6 years. My base is done once a month to touch up the roots and highlights about every 2 years. YES…you did read that correctly! That’s why my hair is so healthy; I don’t over process it like most colorist. Most blondes get highlights too often, like every 3-6 months and that damages their hair. BTW, this is my real hair, no extensions. We keep it trimmed as needed and I do the new hair Botox condition treatments once a month (which eliminates split ends and frizzy dry hair) along with sealing the color with a clear gloss.
