From pageant queen and model, to author and film producer, you have gracefully overcome many obstacles to become the multi-faceted business woman that you are today. Would you like to tell us about your struggles as a young girl in this field?
ANGELA MARTINI:
Life constantly surprises me. What I thought was a struggle yesterday, became a blessing today. This is because unfortunately your character grows only by getting through difficult situations. As you can see in my book, I’ve been struggling with tough situations since I was just a little girl. This defined my character and helped me to become the woman I am today.
Namita Nayyar:
Being a model one needs to stay fit and possess a healthy physique. What does your workout routine look like? Weight loss tip & supplements you follow?
ANGELA MARTINI:
Yes, it’s true. I confess that I hate working out but I am still doing it because it is a must! I am lazy when it comes to working out so I need a trainer to keep screaming at me. 🙂 I take protein shakes and a lot of vitamins.
Namita Nayyar:
Food that constitutes an essential part of your diet? 5 Food that constitute your diet? 2 taboos too.
ANGELA MARTINI:
Ok guys, I guess I am the worst person to be asked this question because the truth is I never eat totally healthy! But I have an interesting story to share with you about diet.
When I was in the Miss Universe competition, I started to diet for the first time in my life, watching all the competitor girls around me doing that! The result was that I became so obsessed and stressed out about keeping to the diet that I started to gain weight for the first time in my life! I could not get rid of this problem and had to deal with extra kilos for almost a year! I tried all the diets, nothing worked! The more dieting I did, eating only salads, soups and vegetables – the worst it got! Eventually, a smart nutritionist told me that the reason I could not get rid of the weight was not because of my diet, but everything is mental and – more specifically – it was the way I looked at food as being my enemy! I got rid of this problem right away and I accepted myself. Instead, I began consuming absolutely anything I felt like, with moderation. After this experience, I strongly believe that the body will not tell the brain what to do, but the brain will give the correct orders to the body!
