All through the year, Women Fitness interviewed top fitness models,

celebrities to bring you an insight on their diet, exercise and

regime. With nearing of the year end, Our team would like to refresh your
memory on the same.
"I don't believe in diets! I never in my life was on diet I am in
love with food to be honest! I prefer to eat
healthy food, and from time to time I can indulge myself and
have a dessert. But I am working out a lot and it helps to keep a
healthy
balance." says
Irina Shayk: Model & actress
|
Let's get started with diet secrets of top leading models,
Miranda Kerr, supermodel always radiant, says: "For my diet, day to day
I adopt the 80/20 rule. 80% healthy and organic, 20% indulgent and that works
for me and my body personally. I indulge occasionally and avoid counting
calories. Ideally, I like to start my day with a fresh pressed green juice with
kale, cucumber, spinach, parsley and lemon. Half an hour later I like to make a
smoothie with sun warrior protein powder, goggi berries, noni juice, viatmineral
greens, chia seeds, bee pollen, raw cacao powder, macca powder and acai powder.
I will then have organic eggs or oatmeal for
breakfast. That works for me and is a great way to get my body started for
the day. I believe breakfast is one of the most important meals in the day. "
Teresa Moore, Supermodel from
New Zealand speaks to Women Fitness about her diet "Yes. I have followed the
Paleolithic diet for the last 5 years and love it." According to Dr. Loren
Cordain, Ph.D, world's leading expert on the evolutionary basis of diet and
disease "The Paleo Diet is the only diet proven by natural selection to fight
disease, provide maximum
energy, and keep you naturally thin, strong, and active-while enjoying every
satisfying and delicious bite."
This is what
Maddie King, Model says on her
diet " I don't follow a special diet or strict menu. I try to eat healthy most
of the time, foods that are not too processed. Lots of vegetables, legumes,
protein - mainly fish or chicken, fruit, whole grains and a little dairy, mainly
goats yogurt." She further adds "There are always times where you can't eat
healthy such as celebrations, outings or you just want a treat. My trick is not
to feel guilty after. You should enjoy these meals and just eat better at your
next meals or exercise a little harder next session."
"I
have started loving Green Juice as an alternative to coffee, its made up of lots
of healthy green vegetables, its not the most yummy thing, but really makes me
feel so well." says
Kimberley Garner, Model and
fashion designer.
The focus is shifting towards, less of animal foods and more plant foods - a
vegetarian style of eating. A number of models like,
Chanel
Ryan and
Gemma
Atkinson, Sexiest Women in the World, have to say "I am a
vegetarian and eat predominantly vegan and raw when I am at home. For the most
part I crave healthy food and feel better and look better when I eat properly."
Besides, going vegan is one of the most effective ways to fight global
warming." , "I don't eat red meat, in fact fish and chicken are the only meat I
do eat and I sometimes struggle with that. I'm a huge animal lover so its hard
as I need the protein to assist with my training but I try to get a lot from my
whey protein as well." adds Gemma.
To sum up, make sensible choices with food. Try to make YOUR
plate
colourful and avoid processed junk. Well that's the healthy way to start your
2015.
