OLIVE NUGGETS

INGREDIENTS:

  • 0.037 Butter, unsalted

  • 0.15 cup Cheddar Cheese, Shredded

  • 1/8 cup all purpose flour

  • 6 medium Olives green, pimento stuffed

  • 0.15 teaspoon Paprika

METHOD:

  • Drain olives and pat dry. In a bowl with an electric mixer cream the butter, beat in the Cheddar, and stir in the flour until the mixture forms a dough. 

  • Mold a level teaspoon of the dough around each olive, enclosing the olives completely and rolling them lightly between the palms of your hands, and arrange the nuggets 1 inch apart on a baking sheet.

  • Sprinkle the nuggets with the paprika (poppy seeds may also be used) and bake them in the middle of a preheated 350 degree F. oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they are pale golden.
