Ms. Namita Nayyar: Your are a leading actress, model, film producer and combat trained. How you manage such a remarkable multi-dimensional lifestyle?
Ms. Chanel Ryan: I don’t sleep a lot! I love what I do so that definitely motivates me. Like any job I have a schedule and try to stick to it. I am very driven and like to write down my goals. Nothing beats the sense of satisfaction I feel when checking off something on my to do list!
Ms. Namita Nayyar: What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine you shall like to share?
Ms. Chanel Ryan: My job requires me to travel constantly which means I often am living out of hotel rooms. Depending on my schedule I hit the hotel gym and do some cardio. If time is limited which it often is I do a quick work out in my room consisting of sit-ups, squats, leg lifts etc. I also travel with a jump rope for times when the location is beautiful and I head to the rooftop or balcony and jump while enjoying the view. When I am not working I try to exercise everyday. I find that it is much easier to stay in shape when you are in shape than to get back in shape once you let yourself go.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Ms. Chanel Ryan: I am a vegetarian and eat predominantly vegan and raw when I am at home. For the most part I crave healthy food and feel better and look better when I eat properly. That being said I love sweets and don’t believe in depriving myself. When I am working I really try and cut down on my carbs and eat more proteins, fruits and vegetables. I just feel better and have more energy.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have glowing skin and gorgeous hairs. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hairs to make them look so stunning?
Ms. Chanel Ryan: I get a lot of compliments on my skin. Most of it I can’t take credit for. I am fortunate and have good genes, and inherited my skin from my Grandparents and the German side of my family. My skin and hair are both really dry which is a constant battle for me. I take fish oil, Flax seed and vitamin E supplements daily. On days off I put oil thru my hair, braid it, put a hat on and let the oil deep condition my hair. My shower looks like a beauty supply I have so many different hair masks and conditioners.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Advice and motivational words for our inspiring and budding models and actresses who all are your fans, what should they do for their climb to the ladder of success in field of acting and modelling?
Ms. Chanel Ryan: Always stay true to yourself. You are perfect the way you are. Sometimes it is easy to forget that, especially in the modeling industry. Also, remember it is a business and approach it as such.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have acted in number of films. Which has been your most memorable experience?
Ms. Chanel Ryan: Every project I work on is memorable for different reasons. I have been very fortunate to be cast along some amazingly talented actors! My second acting job was with legendary director John Frankenheimer, opposite Gary Sinise and Mare Winningham. At the time I was so young I didn’t realize how lucky I was! I’ve worked with Bill Murray, Matt Lucas, Judd Nelson, Ben Browder, Trey Parker, Matt Stone, horror legends Kane Hodder and Bill Oberst Jr. and scream queen Devanny Pinn. I think the most fun I had on a film was opposite Bill Oberst Jr. in CIRCUS OF THE DEAD screaming back and forth at each other!
