Namita Nayyar:
Do you take some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit?
Veronica Lavery :
I used to be a full strict vegan for about 6yrs, as time progressed, and I started learning more about my body I figured that this is just not the way to go. I still don’t eat cheese and most dairy products or any meats or shellfish, but I did start eating egg whites, fish and greek yogurts on occasion. I just listen to my cravings and my taste buds. I’ve no desire to eat meat but fish doesn’t bother me if it doesn’t smell like fish 🙂 I also don’t eat any processed foods or fatty/greasy dishes. I’d say my diet is very particular, hard to explain that briefly like most people do.
Namita Nayyar:
You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hair to make them look so stunning?
Veronica Lavery :
Thank you for that 🙂 Since I started modeling I started paying attention to my skin and see what works and what doesn’t for me. I’m also soon to be licensed Skin Specialist so skin is truly my passion too. There’s so much information at our fingertips these days, those who want, they can really learn a lot just from reading about different ingredients and skin conditions and pick their products and treatments accordingly. I love face masks/sheet masks, steamers, and anything new to try. My hair is an optical illusion haha I’ve been relying on clip in hair extensions for photoshoots, they truly do an amazing job and boost my confidence. My hair on its’ own is a typical ‘European style’, flat, fine and with no volume lol
Namita Nayyar:
You moved from Czech Republic to California for your professional career. For a model adjusting to new countries with their own cultures it must be difficult and then to adjust with the modeling career in a new foreign land. What, according to you, is the one best and the one worst thing about all the travelling that you must do?
Veronica Lavery :
No, I didn’t move to California to become a model. But I became one shortly after moving out here, I’m glad I found an artistic escape for myself because back in Czech Republic I luved our garage punk band, I loved my friends and activities we were doing together. When I moved out here i had nothing. Getting used to the language has been hard I won’t lie about that but every uncomfortable situation makes you feel more comfortable afterwards so I take chances, I go with the flow, I challenge myself and learn from my mistakes. The best thing about traveling has been the amount of experiences and different perspectives you get exposed to, it broadens up your horizons enormously. The bad thing would be having the time go by so fast and not really building a solid base if you want one. Those past years flew by truly very quickly. I was traveling a few times a month for years. That was when I also decided to go back to school because I didn’t want to wake up in my 30s and think “where did all the time go? or what do I do now?” lol
