TOWIE Star Jess Wright joins Women Fitness in an interesting conversation about her life, goals and resolutions for the New Year!
Namita Nayyar:
You have starred in TOWIE since 2010 to 2016, what motivated you to join reality TV?
Jess Wright:
I never had plans to join reality TV, it’s just something that came up as an opportunity & I was in a girl band at the time which was my main focus so I saw it as an amazing platform to get that out there and get the coverage we would need to help us get a record deal.
Namita Nayyar:
As a singer, model, TV Personality and businesswoman, tell us about a day in your life?
Jess Wright:
A day in my life is alwaaaaays crazy! No matter what I always have 1000 things to do. And every single day is different depending on what I’m working on but without fail, if I am not working super early I will try my best to do at least a 45 min gym session, 4-5 times a week.
Namita Nayyar:
5 Workout tips while travelling?
Jess Wright:
- Remember gym wear that suits the weather of the place you’re going to
- Take workout programmes on your phone in lists like a circuit so you have something to refer to
- If you don’t want to go to the gym, do some lengths in the pool or go on a long walk
- Don’t forget your trainers!
- Relax you’re on holiday!
Namita Nayyar:
What does your first meal of the day look like?
Jess Wright:
Breakfast for me can sometimes be brunch as I try to work out on an empty stomach. Generally it will be avocado and maybe smoked mackerel or eggs. On a bad day a chocolate croissant if I can get my hands on one!
Namita Nayyar:
What type of workout works best for you?
Jess Wright:
I like HIT training as I feel like it keeps my waist small & toned as much as possible. But a combination of HIT training & body weight exercises. I really don’t like cardio so boxing or blaze classes are my fave.

Do you follow any skincare and hair care routine, after a sweaty workout?
Jess Wright:
I change my skincare routine a lot so use different moisturisers most days. I use a face wash in the shower, Estée Lauder is my favourite and every night before bed I use Advance Night Repair by them too. I swear by it.
Namita Nayyar:
Foods to boost your strength and stamina? Supplements that work best for you?
Jess Wright:
Bananas I find really good as well as nuts and rice cakes. They to me are healthy.
Namita Nayyar:
After a long hard-working day, what do you look forward to? Stress -busting tips?
Jess Wright:
I love nothing more than putting comfy pyjamas on and sitting with my dog on the sofa and watching a boxset! I love binge watching series. Handmaids Tale is one of my recent faves as well as the Real Housewives of New Jersey.
Namita Nayyar:
Social media has grown big. What is the best and worst part about it?
Jess Wright:
The best part of social media for me is that it’s a great platform to spread the word on things that can benefit others as well as motivational quotes and funny memes. The worst thing is the pressure it puts on young people or even adults to have the perfect.

5 things we’ll always find in your gym bag?
Jess Wright:
- My gloves I wear for weights
- An empty bottle of water
- A hair band
- My Beats earphones
- My phone
Namita Nayyar:
Fitness & Diet Resolutions or goals for 2020?
Jess Wright:
I am going to drink A LOT less alcohol as I know that is a big empty calorie waster! And stick to the gym at least 4-5 times a week.
