Ms. Namita Nayyar: How did you feel before and after your memorable win in 100 meters at 2015 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at Hayward Field, University of Oregon, Eugene, Oregon in 10.81 seconds ?

Ms. Tori Bowie: Before the race I was nervous and anxious...because I wanted to win but I could not predict the outcome. After, I felt like I had finally accomplished my goal of becoming the USA Outdoor Champion in the 100 meters.

Ms. Namita Nayyar: You in 2012 broke your jaw in a non-track accident and was unable to compete. In 2014 Prefontaine Classic you won the 200 meters in 22.18 seconds but tore your right hamstring in late August that year. Later at the U.S. Track and Field Championships you won the 100 meters with a time of 10.81 seconds. How you were able to overcome this physical injury/setback and what advice you can give to the fellow sports person in a similar situation?

Ms. Tori Bowie: I had to keep reminding myself that other athletes had experienced the same injury before and overcame, and I had to be patient and let the healing process take its course.  I had to learn patience.
