There is something to be learned about skin and hair care from those around us who clearly know what they’re doing when it comes to healthy, glowing skin.
Heather Lounsbury: A highly accomplished acupuncturist, herbalist and nutritionist. In her words to Women Fitness “My skin and hair is the direct result of my lifestyle and eating habits. Our skin and hair need certain vitamins and minerals just like the rest of our bodies. My skin care products are mostly from a company called The Vital Image based out of Los Angeles. Their products are organic and 100% natural. Same goes for my hair.”
Alexa Towersey : Who is a highly accomplished Pilates expert, Nutrition and Lifestyle Coach speaks elaborately on skin care. The best thing you can do for your skin, is exercise which provides increases blood flow to the skin!” She keeps her skin routine simple with a simple moisturiser and cleanser and never sleeping with makeup on! “I use Orbie products on my hair and put olive oil in my hair once a week, I leave it overnight. This nourishes my hair and stops it getting dry. When I’m on a film set, they use so many products, driers and tongs, I need to put back in the moisture and oil.”

As said by her “I use Botanics All Bright Eye Soothing Eye Make-Up Remover and Johnson & Johnson’s Clean & Clear Cleanser on my skin at night. Otherwise, I wash my face in the shower with Clinique Liquid Facial Soap and a Clarisonic Mia sonic facial cleansing brush. Then I sometimes use Oil of Olay moisturizers, as well as Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate. I never go outside without wearing makeup or at least moisturiser. I always use a good moisturizer during the day and only wear foundation on special occasions-and never to the gym!”

I am lucky to have such long hair especially being a blonde. I am proud to say I have no extensions!! My secret is I get a blowout once a week and usually never wash it more than that.
