Women Fitness President joins the stunningly beautiful Tilda Jönsson on her journey to the ramp.
Namita Nayyar:
You are an extremely talented model. Walk us through your spectacular journey and tell us how it all began?
Tilda Jönsson:
My modeling journey began about four years ago when I participated in a very small modeling competition in my hometown. The competition was such a fun experience, that after the competition I applied to a couple of different modeling agencies in Sweden. I got signed to an agency called Sweden Models Agency. They helped start my career and got me signed to an agency in Milan. There I started with walking shows and got a Prada exclusive. That show jump-started my career and got me signed with other agencies in Paris, New York, and London. Now I have done fashion week four times and I have gotten to walk shows for Dior, Celine, Jil Sanders, Dolce & Gabbana, Rodarte, and JW Andersson. I have also worked for some cool magazines and done editorials for Vogue Italia, Behind the Blinds, Amica and Schön Magazine.

Namita Nayyar:
Introduce us to a day in your life. How do you like to kick start your day?
Tilda Jönsson:
My day usually starts with a cup of tea and a breakfast that will give me a lot of energy. I also always have a cup of coffee in the morning. Depending on how busy my day is going to be or where I am in the world, I try my best to squeeze in a workout in the morning or I go to my castings for that day.
Namita Nayyar:
Five exercises that comprise your fitness regime?
Tilda Jönsson:
I keep it pretty simple and do a lot of bodyweight exercises. So my top five are plank, crunches, push-ups, lunges, and squats.
Namita Nayyar:
Do you take some specific diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy and physically fit? Foods you keep at a distance.
Tilda Jönsson:
I always try to eat a healthy and varied diet with plenty of vegetables and I try to not eat junk food that often.
Namita Nayyar:
You have featured in so many magazines. Share your experience regarding preparation, shoots and the stress that you face?
Tilda Jönsson:
I always try to come to a shoot looking fresh and with a lot of energy. A shower the night before, a good night’s sleep and a big breakfast are essential for me if I have a full day of shooting. During a shoot, I try to enjoy the moment which makes me relax and not stress that much.
Namita Nayyar:
Who has been your greatest influence and motivator in your success in your career?
Tilda Jönsson:
My family and the bookers at my agencies are always motivating me to be the best person that I can be. They inspire me to work my hardest. I also look up to icons such as Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, and Cindy Crawford.
Namita Nayyar:
Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding models who all are your fans, they shall like to know from you, what they should do for their climb to ladder of success in this field?
Tilda Jönsson:
Don’t compare yourself with other models. All models have a different modeling journey and their own specific look. Success in the modeling industry is a lot about the right timing and luck. So be patient! Just because your look was not the trend this runway season it might be the trend for the next one.
Namita Nayyar:
Five years from now, where do you see yourself?
Tilda Jönsson:
I would like to be healthy and live a happy life with the people I love. Hopefully, I would be living in an apartment in New York, Paris or Milan. My dream would be to still be active in the modeling industry.
Namita Nayyar:
Your hair and skincare routine? Tips to keep that face fresh looking.
Tilda Jönsson:
I think it’s very important to wash your face every morning and evening and make sure that you take off all your makeup. The products that I use are usually only for sensitive skin. I think it’s really important to use a good moisturizer and chapstick every single day. I also use hair oil every day and make sure to use heat protection if I´m going to blow dry or straighten my hair.
