Tiana Flex: An Exceptionally Talented and Accomplished Fitness Model, IFBB Professional Physique Competitor and Fitness Expert
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Who has been your biggest
influence and motivation in your path to success?
Ms. Tiana Flex: Dana Linn Bailey
From the offset, I competed in the ladies figure class.
After winning the WBFF championships and receiving my
pro-card, it was time to move on to the next level. This
was when I decided to join the IFBB federation and
participate in the ladies physique class.
Dana Linn Bailey became my idol after winning the first
ever Mr. Olympia ladies physique. Her symmetry, beauty
and poise are aspiring to me but also to so many others
around the world.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: You have won 2010 rainbow classic 1st
place, 2010 wbff northern gauteng 1st place, 2012 rossi
classic 2nd place, 2012 nubba provincials 2nd place,
2013 wbff 1st place in figure, 1st overall and so on.
What additional responsibilities these winnings bestow
upon you towards the community and the sports of
professional physique competitions you compete in?
Ms. Tiana Flex: Being in the gym is no longer a personal
affair. People ask your advice wanting to tap in to your
vibe and you always have to be willing to share and be
helpful. I have done motivational talks at schools and
have been on two TV shows in South Africa just to
encourage the young people to take care of their bodies.
Participating on professional level requires a
completely different set of rules. I have spent a lot
more time into presenting a full package, not only a
ripped body.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Tell us more about your preparation
for your biggest show yet the Arnold classic South
Africa 2016?
Ms. Tiana Flex: I have been in America since October
2015 for photo shoots; this resulted in me having the
shortest ever preparation period for any competition.
For the past 12 weeks I have been completely committed
to an extremely strict diet program, adjusting all
previous preparation styles due to the limited time. I
worked at training to keep my muscles as full and round
as possible. Cleaning the system by taking the correct
vitamins and minerals to keep my body as healthy as
possible. With the last 7 days remaining I am focusing
on isolating the muscles in each area and getting the
lines defined and deep as possible in each area. I have
been training 3 times a day. I do weigh training midday
and cardio twice a day. Keeping my physique in
proportion to have the perfect symmetry on stage.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: What you wish to say about the
