Ms. Nayyar:
As a mother of four children, taking a career in modeling and as a bikini competitor can be quite challenging. Tell us how you handled such a challenging situation in your life?
Ms. Tamarra:
As a mother, I believe it is very important to be a positive role model to my children. Teaching them how to eat clean, exercise regularly and showing them that determination can pay off, benefits all of us. We have great kids. My four kids and husband are my biggest supporters. It’s great to have my own built in cheering section when I hit the stage!

Ms. Nayyar:
Share your exercise routine that you do to maintain such a bikini perfect physique?
Ms. Tamarra:
When I’m preparing for a competition, I train 6 times a week. I do 30 minutes of cardio during each workout and train at least one body part during each session. When I’m in the off season, I hit the gym 4-5 times a week. When in Miami, I incorporate paddle boarding and beach workouts into my routine to keep things fresh.
Ms. Nayyar:
What is your diet? Do you take a particular fixed regulated diet comprising of nutrients and vitamins to keep you in perfect health?
Ms. Tamarra:
I have tried several combinations of diets but the one I find works best for me is a high protein, low carb meal plan. I take multi-vitamins and OMEGA 3 capsules on a daily basis as well as Glutamine and BCAAs to enhance my training and support my recovery.
Ms. Nayyar:
What is your motivation to take a multi-faceted personality of a model, fitness competitor and a fit mother?
Ms. Tamarra:
My motivation stems from my fellow fitness friends, my husband’s love of fitness and my children’s’ active lifestyles. Watching other mamas step on stage and compete is very inspiring to me. My husband and I train together and although he doesn’t compete, he supports my goals and pushes me at times when I need it. My children are all very athletic and I love to be able to keep up with them…….for now anyway!

Ms. Nayyar:
What advice you have for mothers who consider you as their role model and wish to be as fit as you?
Ms. Tamarra:
My advice would be….go for it! Living a healthy lifestyle allows you to actively be involved with your children and makes you feel alive. Exercise and clean eating habits make you feel great, look your best and gives you a confidence that truly shines through. I think every woman should want to feel like that!
Ms. Nayyar:
You have glowing skin and gorgeous hairs. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hairs to make them look so stunning?
Ms. Tamarra:
I contribute my healthy skin and hair to the good nutrients I put into my body. As we all know, whatever you put into your body directly effects how you look on the outside. I drink at least 2-3 litres of water each day which hydrates my skin and keeps it glowing. I also take in approximately 150 grams of protein on a daily basis which promotes hair growth and strengthens my hair.
Ms. Nayyar:
You in your blog write about preventive tests the mothers or women should take. Women are generally scared to go for routine tests. What advice you have for them?
Ms. Tamarra:
Let’s face it, medical tests are not exactly glamorous. So it’s completely understandable that people don’t like to talk about preventative tests openly. I think it’s time to change that! Early detection of any disease increases the chances of successful treatment. In my case, I have had a lot of serious health issues in my family history, so I wanted to ensure that I was healthy, not only for myself but for my family. I shared my story on my blog because I wanted to help encourage other women to take charge of their own health and reduce the stigma of preventative cancer screening.
Ms. Nayyar:
You have done bikini, tear sheets, fitness and glamour photo shoots. They are bold and hot. What advice you wish to give the women of today to be body confident in order to do such bold modeling?
Ms. Tamarra:
I think everyone’s comfort level in front of the camera is different. If you have the confidence to wear a bikini or glamour attire in front of the camera then good for you! We can be strong, fit, glamorous, serious, funny, bold and yes, a little sexy, and there is nothing wrong with that. Start eating right, hit the gym with conviction and watch your confidence soar! Then book a shoot with a reputable photographer before you chicken out 🙂
Ms. Nayyar:
Within one year of birth of your daughter you won remarkably the 3rd position in Masters Bikini at WBFF Eastern U.S.Championship in Boston. What advice would you like to give to the mothers that they should do for getting a fit post pregnancy body like you?
Ms. Tamarra:
Most importantly, take the time needed to heal properly from delivery. Everyone’s experience is different, so listen to your doctor and your body. Once you get the ok to start exercising, grab your new little bundle of joy and get going! My favorite exercise to do with my children when they were infants was walking lunges, with them in a front snugli baby carrier. This gave me that special bonding time with my newborn and allowed me to gain the muscle back in my legs that was lost during pregnancy.
Ms. Nayyar:
