Ms. Namita Nayyar:
After living for more than 29 years in America, you shifted your base to India and made your Bollywood debut in Pooja Bhatt’s thriller Jism 2 in 2012. Since then there has been no looking back. Share with us your journey in the field of entertainment to making a mark for yourself?
Ms. Sunny Leone:
Well I didn’t think when I first landed in India that I would be making a mark. I thought I would be there for maybe a few weeks and then go back to Los Angeles. I had no plan and it was just about a new opportunity, new life, people and work. Both my partner and I believe in hard work and that’s all we did.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Having lived for most of your life in America, it was a big shift for you, culturally and from a career point of view. What motivated you to make this transition? Also, tell us about your daily routine.
Ms. Sunny Leone:
It was the work that motivated me. I always wanted to work in film and was given an opportunity and grabbed it with both hands. My daily routine is to wake up, breakfast, gym, go to work and shoot and then home.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Being an actress, fitness is of utmost importance. Unfold the exercises that comprise your fitness regime on a daily basis?
Ms. Sunny Leone:
My regime changes all the time based on where I am. If in I’m Los Angeles I love taking spin classes and doing hot yoga. I switch back and forth. When in India I have to self motivate and plan my workouts myself. So anything from running, spinning, boxing, weights yoga and I love Jillian Michaels’ workout videos. If I’m out of those two places I find a gym where ever I go.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You recently welcomed two twin boys to your family of three. Congratulations! Share with us some tips, from your own experience, of creating work-life balance.
Ms. Sunny Leone:
I’m still figuring out tips and I’m still on my maternity leave. Both Daniel and I have a plan for when I have to go back to set and I hope that works because I’m sure like most mothers I also don’t want to leave my children but I am a working mother and will continue to be this way. I am a better mother and person when I can balance work and family life.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
In an interview with the Men’s Fitness magazine you said, “I try to eat very healthy – lots of vegetables.” Tell us more about the kind of diet that you follow or would advise to friends in order to stay healthy and physically fit. Enlist your 5 favorite breakfast picks?
Ms. Sunny Leone:
I don’t drink milk. I try and eat healthy as much as possible. My only advice is to listen to your body and that means that if you eat healthy then you probably won’t crave for all the junk you are eating and if you fill up on water then the feeling of being full will be longer. It’s all about small correct choices that make a difference. I became a vegetarian in the last two years and it’s the best feeling in the world. It was not hard because I did it not for health reasons but for the same reason that I just couldn’t eat another living animal again. I saw some things that I cannot erase from my eyes. My favorite breakfast items are vegan breakfast sandwiches, and breakfast burritos I don’t have 5 because I am a creature of habit.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have glowing skin and long, flowing hair – Share with us your skincare and hair care tips?
Ms. Sunny Leone:
I believe that what you put in your body reflects on your skin and hair. Also I have carefully researched products that are good for my skin type. One brand that changed my skin forever is SK2 and cleanser that my dermatologist makes which is just a antibacterial face soap. I also use real Aloe Vera on my face and high frequency machine to kill the bacteria on the surface of my face.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
With a massive following of over 12 Million followers on your Instagram account @sunnyleone you’re a social media sensation and an internet leading star. How does it feel that you are able to inspire and influence the healthy lifestyle of so many individuals?
Ms. Sunny Leone:
It really is a great feeling!
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
We hear that you have two major projects that you’re working on, one which is a Hindi remake of 2012 Punjabi film Jatt & Juliet opposite Manish Paul and Veeramadevi a period war Tamil film. We would love to know more about these and any other upcoming projects that you’re working on.
Ms. Sunny Leone:
I am working on Veeramadevi and biopic series on my life story. These two things are on the film front and I just launched my cosmetic line StarStruck. Lipstick, liner and glosses. It’s super exciting.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
With cut-throat competition in the entertainment industry, one has to work really hard to shine in the crowd. What would be your best tips for a newcomer entering the Indian Film Industry?
Ms. Sunny Leone:
My best tip is to just keep smiling, work hard, be persistent, and most of all be professional no matter how much fame one project brings you.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
In 2013, you posed for a PETA ad campaign, encouraging dog and cat owners to have their pets spayed and neutered. PETA also named you as their “Person of the Year” in 2016. Tell us how have you been able to achieve and quench your thirst of giving back to the society through these endeavors?
Ms. Sunny Leone:
Yes I love giving back but I don’t think that it will ever end with me. Giving back to people or animals is something that I am passionate about.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Having done 4 seasons of MTV’s hit love reality series Splitsvilla, what are the five things that you absolutely love about the show?
Ms. Sunny Leone:
I love the show because of the locations, the contestants, the craziness I see on a daily basis that always makes me laugh, I love that I get to get away from everything and be engrossed in the show and most of all I love working with Rann Vijay and spending time with his wife. We all have so much fun!
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
