With an impressive body of work that encompasses TV, film, print and stand up comedy, Stacey Hayes has proven herself to be a highly recognizable TV personality and known to millions worldwide as a familiar face on both QVC, and as Chuck Woolery’s brilliant and beautiful on-air judge and co-host on the Game Show Networks’s #1 rated original show, ‘LINGO’.
Namita Nayyar, President Women Fitness talks to Stacey Hayes about her spectacular modelling journey, her fitness and diet secrets.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Raised in London and Nebraska, you spent many years as a competitive ice-skater, internationally published model and actress, gracing the pages of numerous print campaigns and acting in countless national television commercials. You had your big break in Hollywood, starting out on TV with “Sunset Beach,” “The Young and the Restless” and “Days of Our Lives”. Walk us through your incredible journey so far and tell us how it all began?
Ms. Stacey Hayes:
I was a child actor and model in the UK but since my father was American when we would come to America, I started to get involved in winter sports because he was from Nebraska so over the time I became a competitive skater whilst still acting and modeling. When I got to my teens I decided I wanted to live in Hollywood where there seemed to be the most opportunities.
I started doing stand up comedy at the world-famous comedy store in Hollywood I created all of my own characters that were nothing like myself but rather outrageous and that exposure opened up lots of opportunities for me.
I eventually ended up being cast alongside Chuck Woolery on the number one rated game show “Lingo” which went on for many years and continues to air all over the world to this day. Had I not moved to Hollywood I never would’ve had the opportunity to do that show so it was well worth it!

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Introduce us to a day in your life.
Ms. Stacey Hayes:
It all depends on whether I am shooting or not but I always begin my day with a workout if I’m not shooting I probably start my workout at about 10:00 AM but if I’m working sometimes I have to start at 4 AM! But I rarely miss a workout that’s how I love to begin my day, every day.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What exercises comprise your fitness regime or workout routine?
Ms. Stacey Hayes:
I work out 7 days a week it’s just the way I choose to start my day regardless of how busy I am. I’m a runner, I run a minimum of 5 miles a day. I also really enjoy Pilates, it stretches and lengthens my muscles without bulking me up and it’s a nice low impact exercise as opposed to the running.
Living in LA I also take advantage of the long summer and I also swim daily when time permits. I absolutely love being in the water, feeling weightless and that’s another wonderful low impact exercise!
In the winter months I also incorporate hiking, I find it too hot to hike in the summer (I’m also afraid of the rattlesnakes LOL ) but I enjoy it in the winter. There’s nothing better than getting out and enjoying nature whilst you’re exercising because it doesn’t even feel like exercise at all!
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Do you have some special diet or have a strict menu that you follow to remain healthy.
Ms. Stacey Hayes:
I have been a vegetarian my entire life, I was vegan for a couple years but now my diet consists mostly of fruits, vegetables and salmon. (But I definitely have cheat days! Pizza pizza pizza LOL I also love chocolate, milk chocolate!)
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have glowing skin and gorgeous hair. Do you take some kind of skin treatment to keep it young and glowing and secondly what you do to your hair to make it look so stunning?
Ms. Stacey Hayes:
Thank you! Eating healthy, exercising and taking care of oneself is so important ! I believe very much in wheatgrass I have 2 ounces a day 7 days a week chased by an organic banana to start my day… I have been doing this since I was 18! It’s 70% chlorophyll and wonderful for my skin and hair and overall health. I’ve also been using organic coconut oil for many years as a pre-shampoo treatment. I also take natural collagen tablets, organic Turmeric, Fish and flaxseed oils.
I end my night with a freshly made organic kale, spinach, beat, ginger juice topped with Cayanne pepper.. It’s Filled with so many nutrients that benefits my entire body along with my skin, nails and hair. I’m also a believer in alkaline water and drink it all day long.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have been featured in top magazines like Playboy, Stuff, Maxim, FHM and Kandy. Give us your Top 3 Tips to give your best shot in a magazine photoshoot.
Ms. Stacey Hayes:
Definitely got to get a spray tan! I never tan in the sun it’s too aging and damaging for the skin, I only use self tanner to get a nice Golden glow and cover up imperfections.
Since most of the shoots are very body-conscious I try my best to prepare by drinking as much water as possible eating watermelon to try and beat any potential bloat and always go into it with a confident positive attitude. It’s very important to have strong personal body confidence knowing that no one is perfect, everyone has flaws but you just put your best forward, feel good about yourself and project that.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have also been featured as a guest on “The Tonight Show,” “The Roseanne Show” and “Later”. How has your experience been?
Ms. Stacey Hayes:
Being that I did stand up comedy for a few years I was scouted at one point to go on the Tonight Show… I was very excited at the time! All of those shows were a great experience. Once you have done stand up comedy live, you kind of feel like you can do almost anything! LOL.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Tell us your current Top 5 Fashion Must-haves.
Ms. Stacey Hayes:

- Nude flesh tone flip-flops
- Vintage Levi’s cut off shorts

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Advice and motivational words to the inspiring and budding models, who all are your followers and shall like to know from you for their climb to the ladder of success in this field?
Ms. Stacey Hayes:
This is a very fun yet challenging field to get into but I truly believe there is room for everybody. I think it’s important to go into it with realistic expectations, a positive attitude and unfortunately you do have to grow a bit of a thick skin as it’s extremely competitive and not tremendously forgiving… but with that said there is still a lot of success and enjoyment to be had!
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
