Silvia Ribeiro: Exceptionally Talented and Stunningly Beautiful International Model and Triathlete Unveils her Success Secrets
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Fitness modelling is about bold photo
shoots. You have done various photoshoots and shown your
spectacular chiseled physique. What advice you wish to
give to the women of today to be body confident in order
to do such bold modeling?
Ms. Silvia Ribeiro: For models in general my advice is
to work with what you believe in. That's the first step
for a great photoshoot. When you're doing something that
you can truly back up that's when your light will shine
the brightest. And for women in general the piece of
advice I can give from what I've learned as a model is
that confidence has a lot to do with happiness and
accepting who you are. If you have the courage to tackle
life and chase your dreams that power will transcend
your presence. Being proud of yourself and what you
chose to do will give you the confidence to look great
in any situation because that's real power!
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Advice and motivational words to the
inspiring and budding fitness models who all are your
fans and shall like to know from you for their climb to
ladder of success in field of professional fitness
modelling?
Ms. Silvia Ribeiro: It's a very competitive industry and
obviously it's really hard to achieve success. As in any
other activity in life my belief is that hard work truly
pays off! Don't go into this business searching for
success or glamour as these as just products of many
years of high quality work. But if you truly have a
passion for what you do then go for it! Believe in
dreams, be true to yourself, work hard and I believe
that life will take care of bringing good things your
way!
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Tell us more about the half Ironman
distance where you had your best results and your
experience at Ironman 70.3 Miami ?
Ms. Silvia Ribeiro: The half ironman distance (Ironman
70.3) is my favourite distance in triathlon. It's a 1.2
mile swim followed by a 56 mile bike ride and a 13.1
mile half marathon to top it off! I was always more
inclined to long duration exercise and I find this
distance to be ideal to my skill set and also for the
availability of time I have to train. It's where I've
had my best results as some Top 10 finishes! The Ironman
70.3 Miami is a very special race for me as it was my
first half ironman and also in the city where I
discovered triathlon as a passion. I've raced it twice
and it's a very beautiful course showcasing some of the
main attractions in the city. No wonder so many people
from all around the world go to Miami every year to race
it!
Ms. Namita Nayyar: How do you balance your profession of
being a leading model and a triathlete ?
Ms. Silvia Ribeiro: I try to stick to my routine as much
as possible as it helps me get through all the hardships
of both training and working. A high quality diet is
also paramount in this process. Wherever I am I try to
keep a balanced diet and also try to work out even if
it's half an hour just to keep the metabolism going.
When home I am very strict with my sleeping in order to
stay healthy and also prepared to perform at my best in
triathlon or modelling. And as usual I follow my motto
of being happy to look happy!
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Tell us about a memorable experience
you still remember about one of the fitness modeling
photo shoots ?
Ms. Silvia Ribeiro: One of the most amazing photoshoots
I've done was the cover of Triathlete magazine last
year. As I triathlete this is Holy Graal and I've grown
in the sport watching the cover with some of my idols
and so many amazing athletes. When my agent told me they
wanted me for the cover I think it took around two weeks
for me to realize what was about to happen.
I flew to San Diego and it was so much better than even
my dreams! The whole crew was amazing (most of them
became good friends that I still see in races and
events) and it was really a dream come true to have a
photoshoot bringing together in such a beautiful way my
two greatest passions: triathlon and modelling.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: What do you wish to say about the
website Womenfitness.net and message for its visitors?
Ms. Silvia Ribeiro: The website womenfitness.net was
always a reference and an inspiration for me! I've seen
and read about some of the most amazing women out there
and got inspired to keep pursuing my dreams. And now I
have the opportunity to be here hopefully doing the same
for other amazing women who will rock this world! I'm
very proud of what I do and what I've accomplished as
both a model and an athlete and hopefully I'll be able
to inspire other women out there to be bold, brave and
chase their dreams with everything they have!
