Mr. King is President and Chairman, Board of Directors for SA Moves, a foundation for movement disorder education and support based in San Antonio, Texas. He also volunteers as an Assistant Director for the State of Texas for the Parkinson’s Action Network (PAN), and is a past president and chairman of the board of the Alamo Area Parkinson’s Support Group and a past member of the board of directors of the Lone Star Parkinson Society in Texas. Mr. King is a U.S. Air Force veteran. Following his Air Force career, Mr. King was a laboratory director, a vice president for a high-tech defense contractor, a principal in a computer security start-up company, a senior executive in a Fortune 500 software company, and a research scientist. Corey was diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson’s disease in 2009, and retired from his professional career in 2011. Since then, has been active as an advocate for the Parkinson’s community and other causes, and has published a book about his experiences in life and with Parkinson’s called Walking The Crooked Path. Corey also writes a blog called The Crooked Path at http://thecrookedpath.net. Mr. King lives in San Antonio, Texas with his wife Amy. They have two children who have left home to pursue fantastically successful lives, and a standard poodle, who has not.
