Ms. Namita Nayyar: You continued to exploit your artistic attitude with the study of the creative writing techniques and composing new songs. In 2010 you attended the “Institute of Photography “in Rome (ISFCI). You joined the course of photography techniques, portraits and development and photo printing with good results. Elaborate on this creative streak of yours?
Sara Galimberti: At one point in my life, I was fascinated about the world of photography. Capturing photos or images was one of my way to express my feelings and cultivate my creativity which also comes with a different sound.
I was fond of portraits and for a short period of time I worked with different national theater artists for photo books and I often go around the city looking for different faces and reportage …
Ms. Namita Nayyar: In 2012 you attended the Saint Louis College, studying song techniques with Stefania Del Prete, theory and harmony with Andrea Avena, music repertoire with Maria Grazia Fontana and keyboards with the teacher Dario Zeno. How this learning and educational background helped you in sharpening and understanding the musical and singing skills you possess today?
Sara Galimberti: Technical training was important, because it gave me the understanding of both of my limits and my ability and helped me open new channels to my creativity. I think it is important to have a solid base of training even if you got the talent, and even if you have the natural gift but in other cases we also have a lot of self-taught artists or who have not studied any kind of training. I believe, however, that training is also needed in order to break patterns and to go beyond.
By following this path, it helped me improve my voice as an instrument and open other doors to my creativity until I get to write my first self- composed song, something that I never thought of being able to do without the help of training. So for me studying, is for sure had a significant role with my career.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: In 2005, at the “Ostia Music Festival”, you gained the second place with the interpretation of the song “Via con me” of the Italian singer Paolo Conte. Tell us about this experience and endeavor of yours?
Sara Galimberti: I have a wonderful memory of this competition like all other national and local competition in which I took part. They have greatly enriched my journey.
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Tell us about your performance at the Vieste Film Festival on 17th July 2014?
Sara Galimberti: It was exciting to be part in such a prestigious festival ..a festival that pays homage to Italian cinema and that represent the culture in a beautiful setting like the wonderful city of Vieste and as beautiful as the whole region of Puglia.
The public and the critics have welcomed me very warmly, they showed me that they really enjoyed my presence…It was also an occasion of exchanging and sharing with many other artists who took part in the event and I am really greatful to be part of this wonderful experience …
Ms. Namita Nayyar: Who has been your inspiration and motivation that led you to your success in the world of singing and as a music performer?
Sara Galimberti: My source of inspiration is life itself.. what I live every day around me and inside me especially, everything that thrills me and that leaves me the need to express myself, and then I love to give and receive, sharing and exchanging, it may be an experience in a very simple everyday life but most important is that it all starts from the heart and nature.. In contact with nature and the goddess of water.. there should always be.. it is a neccessity.
