Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Share with us your Top 5 305 Fitness Exercises that you absolutely love.
Ms. Sadie Kurzban:
- VStep: this is a classic move we do at the start of class. You feel like you’re a star on Broadway and it gets blood pumping through your whole body.
- Push-up: love myself a good push-up. I feel so strong and accomplished after banging out 20.
- Squat: I mean…nuff said. An extremely effective exercise that helps strength, flexibility, and power.
- High knees: for when jumping jacks just won’t cut it. I love seeing how high I can get my knees to lift (up to my chest, cmon!!) while I dance in the mirror.
- Body Roll: one of those moves that is just too much fun. It’s really awesome to watch newcomers try this move and giggle and then finally jump in, head first, like f*ck it, I’m gonna feel goofy and sexy all at the same time.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Your 305 clients are in love with your fitness classes. How does it feel that you are able to influence the healthy lifestyle of so many individuals?
Ms. Sadie Kurzban:
The biggest reward for me has been hearing individuals share with me their stories of confidence. Many, many people have told me how this class has shaken up their perspective entirely. They see themselves differently, not just because of the scale, but because ((305)) has awoken a passion, a zest for life, a vulnerability, a willingness to take on new challenges, a thirst for self-expression. It’s truly an amazing product and I feel so honored when I hear that it has affected so many!
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
What do you wish to say about the website Womenfitness.net and message for its visitors?
Ms. Sadie Kurzban:
Don’t be so hard on yourself. As women, we face a lot of pressure. We are constantly judged (by ourselves, by other women, and by the world). It’s no wonder that even the most banal, everyday things like food, exercise, and daily chitchat can become emotionally charged for us. Try to take the pressure off and when you can, find the joy in what you are doing. Your body isn’t your whole life. Your body is just one part of you. But you are much more than what you eat or how you work out: you are also your intelligence, your capabilities, your sense of humor, your spirituality, your friendships, etc etc. Take the pressure off. One meal, one workout, one bad month or bad year…it’s not the end of you. You are still you!
