Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You were a part of Blumhouse’s Happy Death Day which was expected to be a quick seasonal opening this past October, but has gone to spawn a franchise on the tails of its extraordinary success. Share with us your journey in the field of entertainment to making a mark for yourself?
Ms. Ruby Modine:
It’s so exciting to book work after the amount of auditioning that’s necessary in our business. To then have it be Happy Death Day, a film that I thought would be a small independent movie, is flabbergasting! It’s so exciting that the film took off in the manner in which it did and it is equally exciting to know that so many people went to see it in theaters and other alternate venues.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Being a versatile talent who can segue between acting, singing and dancing, we’re pretty sure you lead a very hectic life. Share with us a day routine.
Ms. Ruby Modine:
PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!
I wake up at 7am every day. I work out in the morning and very often will have auditions during the course of the day. However, when that is not the case I will spend time working on scripts, writing music and my beloved photography. I often paint, read and search for inspiration in my every day life, be it the friends I surround myself with and what I see in the world IE: street art, photography, skateboarding etc.
The idea is to do something every day that makes me a better artist and human being.
Classes are very important too which are happening more and more often. There are functions for charities I support and I will always find downtime with my friends and family. Movie nights, game nights and dinners. It is important to also have nights where I do nothing and have me time.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Being an actress, fitness is strictly called upon. Unfold the exercises that comprise your fitness regime in everyday life?
Ms. Ruby Modine:
Krav Maga, hikes, jogging, boxing, weights, yoga, isometrics, swimming… I do a lot of everything because not only is it necessary but it makes me feel great and centered.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Consuming a healthy diet is important along with a good workout. What diet do you follow or would advise your friends, in order to stay healthy and physically fit? Enlist your 5 favorite breakfast recipes?
Ms. Ruby Modine:
I believe in eating when you’re hungry. I don’t follow any kind of strict dieting, however, veggies and fruits are the most important.
- Steel cut oatmeal and chopped fruit.
THE BEST SALAD: Super greens which include baby greens, green Swiss chard, tat soi, arugula and spinach. Then I include hemp seeds, probiotic kraut, ground flaxseeds, home made dressing, avocado, tomato… it’s a huge salad.
- VEGGIE BURGERS!!
- Vegetable pot pies
- Lotus foods noodles and I chop up tons of veggies and make it super spicy.
- Gluten free pizza and there is nothing wrong with the occasional junk food.

Ms. Namita Nayyar:
You have glowing skin and long, beautiful hair – Share with us your skincare and hair care tips?
Ms. Ruby Modine:
LOL! Well the long hair is thanks to The Hair Shop. I have healthy shoulder length hair that I am happy to say I accessorize with additional parts whenever I want it longer.
Deep conditioners, trim your ends and stay away from straighteners and all heat devises as often as you can! I learned that the hard way.
As for my skin: lots of water, sleep and I love face masks by Kate Somerville (sulfur one). Witch hazel rocks!
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
With an audience of over 144k followers on your Instagram account @rubymodine you’re a social media sensation. How does it feel that you are able to inspire and influence the lifestyle of so many women across the globe? What’s your success “mantra”?
Ms. Ruby Modine:
I believe in spreading the word on self love and love for others. Respect, consideration and kindness. I am happy to share the ways I view the world in any way I can. It makes me happy to see the positive response from the public via my social media. Don’t get me wrong, we all have bad days and social media does not often show that. I do not want to give the impression that my life is perfect, no ones’ is, but I will always share my methods of how to deal with the dark days and choose to go towards the light. I am lucky to the platform that I have.
Ms. Namita Nayyar:
Your personal style is always an eye-turner on the red carpet as well as the pages of the trendiest magazines or when you are with your pals. Share your five favorite trends to follow this summer.
Ms. Ruby Modine:
What’s trending for me: Crop tops, torn baggy jeans, summer dresses, Adidas Stan smiths (although I will always religiously rock converse!), pencil skirts and band t-shirts.
